My husband and I traveled to Ireland for 2 weeks and Amber Hill was the first b&b we stayed at. It was so CLEAN and our room was even better than the pictures alluded to. Anthony, our host, was a great source of information. He answered any questions we had and was very friendly throughout our 2 day stay. If...

Even at a time when hotel rack rates have reduced substantially, I would choose Amber Hill over many fine hotels in Galway, because of the warmth of the welcome, the exceptional value, the excellently appointed and equipped bedrooms, the attention to detail and the willingness and enthusiasm of the owners to go the extra mile to ensure the comfort and...

We stayed here our first night in Ireland after arriving at Shannon. We needed a place to stay overnight in Galway as the following morning we were meeting a group who would be traveling together for the balance of the week. We arrived a bit early, so Anthony (our innkeeper) suggested a lovely village up Galway Bay where we could...

The owners were among the best and friendliest people we met on our visit. They couldn't be nicer or more helpful! Also, the continental breakfast is good, but go for "The Full Irish"--it's well worth it! Their hearty breakfast will keep you energized all day! The ambience of the interior, the garden and the neighborhood, was really special! Thank you...

We stayed there for two nights and it was very pleasant. The hotel is in a nice quiet area, however a little far from the city centre if you do not have a car (30-40 mins walk). The breakfast was the usual irish full, made on the spot, so that was nice. The room was large enough and very clean....
