I was in Tralee for work and most places were full. It is a Bed and Breakfast and a hostel and a restaurant and tea room. I arrived late on Friday night. Denny Street is a beautiful street and from the outside the place looked promising. A very nice Irish girl opened the door and had my key. She asked...

I stayed last Friday in this B&B with my girlfriend. At the time of check-in the receptionist had no change so we payed 2,40 euro more than we should. We were put in a mixed 10 bed bedroom with a super drunk strange guy who in the middle of the night sneaked out to my girlfriend's bed and laid down...

We (4 of us) are just back from a trip to Finnegan's Hostel and B&B where we spent the weekend. I have never stayed in a hostel before so I was a bit wary.. I needn't have worried. The place was spotless and the beds were the most comfortable I have slept in. Breakfast was lovely. On the first morning...

The room was really basic. The bunk beds we were left with seemed really unstable. There was no light in the bath. There was a room with all girls except for a male which was really uncomfortable. Reception was non-existent. Breakfast was incredibly late for people wanting to to do walking around the local area, 9am is far too late....

We two adults and a pet husky stayed there. Great value at 50E one night. Parking is on street (located town centre) so have daytime ticket. Bring own sheets/towels as it 'hostel'. Beds and room very clean but needs maintainance on some basics- weak wifi, no sink stopper,tv not work. Eileen owner very nice and breakfast/dining rooms excellent. Certainly good...

We stayed in this wonderful hostel/b&b before setting off on the kerry camino and i have to say it was a fantastic experience. We were not quite sure what to expect but from the moment we arrived we were given a lovely warm welcome. This place is an old georgian house converted and is located in the centre of the...

A beautiful place to stay, a warm relaxing and peaceful hotel. Room was clean, breakfast was excellent freshly cooked with warm home made scones. The dining room and tea room have a quintessential charm with homely touches. Eileen and staff make you feel so welcome. Such an enjoyable place to stay. We have been visiting Tralee for many years but...

We stayed the night before and then the night after doing the Dingle Way walk. The staff were all friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable with good facilities. It has a bit of old-world character and charm which is great compared to the many bland hostels and b&bs. Had an Irish breakfast the first stay and an omelette for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Finnegan's Hostel, Restaurant and Mary Anne's Tea Rooms, Tralee, Co. Kerry. Built by the Denny family in 1826 from the stones of the old Tralee Town Castle. It was converted into a cute quaint hostel whilst making the most of its original features. We have a mixture of dorms and rooms with forty beds in total. All the private rooms are en-suite. We also have two big rooms with open fireplaces, perfect for those winter days! Our cellar restaurant serves fresh seafood and steak and offers great value for money. We are just five minutes walk from the train (Irish Rail) and bus (Bus Eireann) station and we are just off the Main Street of Tralee town so its perfect for visiting the sites, or heading out at night! Across the street from us is the amazing Tralee town park. We are only thirty minutes by car from Dingle, the Ring of Kerry and Killarney. The history of the famous Kerry landmark Mary Anne's Tea Rooms: Mary Anne Hickey and her husband Bartholomew came from a farm in Crinne outside Castleisland, Co. Kerry. She had ten children and fifty-four grandchildren of which I am one. She loved baking and entertaining friends & family at her home and these tearooms are dedicated to her memory.
