We stayed at Croan Cottages with our two girls ages 12 and 17 over the Halloween break and had a wonderful time thanks to the kind hospitality of the owner Francis, the lovely and comfortable cottage, and its location in the beautiful and quiet Kilkenny countryside (yet very accessible to motorway). There is so much to do within a 15...

The owners, Niamh and Frances, were great hosts and the cottages located on their farm are top notch. Fifteen minutes to Kilkenny, 35 minutes to Waterford, and 1 hour to Wexford. A county park with hiking trails is only a 5 minute walk from the cottage. We travel in the off season and cottages are reasonably priced.

We stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage set in peaceful grounds, whilst we were visiting family in Carrick on Suir 20 minutes away. These cottages were a perfect base for exploring the wonderful area around Kilkenny/Tipperary/Waterford and Wicklow. The cottages have everything you could need, and are really comfortable. Our 3 daughters loved playing with Poppy and Peggy, the resident...

Visited Croan this week and had a fantastic time. The setting is absolutely idyllic and the cottages have everything thing you need. People are very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for travelling all around Kilkenny. Would recommend to everyone.

Beautiful, clean cottages in a pristine, rural setting. A comfortable, private and attractive place to relax. The homemade meal we enjoyed was served with a warm welcome and was fresh, tasty and hot. The Internet service is basically nonexistent but the surroundings and cottages make up for it. I will come back.

Stayed here in July 2014. Lovely cottage in peaceful countryside. Cottage well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Clean, bright and spacious with lovely grounds and farm animals. Easy location for driving to Cork, Dublin, Kilkenny and other areas. Hosts friendly and helpful and useful information and books available in the cottage.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at Croan Cottages. Just myself and husband. The location is great for touring and we did nearly 1000 miles travelling around from this location over 2 weeks. The cottage we stayed in had everything we needed for our stay. We did struggle with the slow internet connection but managed without. Earlier reviews comment...

The cottages are in the middle of some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. It's a lovely place to stay. However, we had 3 cottages between our group and during the weekend each cottage had issues with water at least once ; no hot water in one, no water at all in another and only extremely hot water in...

I can't understand your comment on the appliances in the cottages. All of them work perfectly, if there is a problem with an appliance, it is replaced. We also have a policy of replacing appliances with more energy efficient models each time (to reduce our carbon footprint). The problem with the well was unfortunate but unavoidable and, as you said...

We have huts returned from a shortened break at Croan and would highly recommend them to anyone. The location is quiet and very rural but there is still plenty to do in the area for those with a little bit of imagination. The cottage we stayed in was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Our hosts were helpful...

We had the pleasure of staying at croan cottages for a few days. I have teenage boys who loved the experience and became children again. Not having high speed wifi on holiday has it's advantages. Francis and Niamh were so accommodating from our arrival to our departure. They have a fabulous little haven where there is peace and solitude yet...
