With great views of the River Shannon and only a few blocks from busy O'Connell shopping street this hotel is great for large groups as it is huge with a massive basement breakfast room that serves a decent hot and cold breakfast that's included. Also adjacent to McGillicuddy's restaurant bar which despite its eclectic mix of old world and modern...

Stayed here a couple of weeks before Christmas. Some renovations were ongoing when we checked in in afternoon and seemed to continue into early evening. While the room itself was fine the idiots who were booked in for a Christmas party night were not. Running up and down the corridors until five in the morning shouting and roaring again from...

Bedrooms in this hotel have had a makeover. The decor and furnishings are elegant and comfortable. Bathrooms are stylish. The lobby, hotel corridors and bedrooms had a high standard of cleanlinessThe rooms also have a coffee-maker so I felt this hotel created a feel-good factor. It was good to see the early morning rowing boats on the river. There is also...

Stayed at this hotel previously when it was Jurys so knew what to expect. The hotel is basic. Lobby same as previous stay, however, they have added a new bar, McGettigans - really trendy bar that does cocktails and food. Didn't sample either (stuck to normal drink and had meal booked elsewhere) but drinks looked good and food smelled yum....

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night, its ideal if you are heading out in Limerick for a night out. The room was a nice size a little bit dated but clean which is the main thing. Staff were lovely. A great bar adjoined to the hotel which was very lively,

Honestly, the only saving grace was the bar/bar food downstairs. The room was awful, dingy and old with paint peeling off exposed piping all around the base of the wall. The bed was not suitable for two grown adults and left us both very uncomfortable. Had we not have been staying as part of a group I would have checked...

Dear Thelmacotter, I see from your review that it is almost 9 months from your stay here until your review was posted. Since your stay refurbishment has been carried on out many bedrooms and bathrooms. When you stayed in September 2014, the Hotel had only recently come under the ownership and the Bar which you gave good review to, had...

Can not believe that hotel customers were not allowed to enter the bar through the adjoining double doors through to the hotel reception area which were wide open. In fact you actually had to walk outside and in the main door again. When I asked the doorman why, he said the bar is separately owned but this doorway was OK...
