This was our 2nd visit to Kay and it was no different from the first. Kay was very friendly and welcomed you as old friends. Her hospitality is first class and her tea and scones when you arrive is most welcome after a long drive. The room is clean, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was outstanding in every way and nothing...

Where do I start? Lets start with Kay, what a wonderful host! She made us feel so welcomed. She was always ready to chat and share stories. The rooms are cozy and clean. The B&B is well kept, neat and comfortable. The breakfast was yummy and more than we could have expected. We wanted to visit longer but had to...

It was our first visit to Ireland and it was awesome. Other than the breath taking landscapes, we were bowled over by the Irish hospitality. Windermere House was one of the B&Bs that we were lucky to stay at; Kay was truly welcoming and so very accommodating to our needs and requests. Thank you Kay for your hospitality and for...

This could have been an OK stay, but it was ruined for us by the host's unfair suggestion that we had caused a problem that we had nothing to do with. The room itself was a very tight fit, with a double bed and two twins wedged into an area inadequate for them. The shower (more about that later) was...

I was almost cancelling my reservation as I found another hotel closer to the sea. I am glad I didn't. We are greeted by the sweetest host of all time and offered tea/coffee and scones. Our room was perfectly clean and authentic. We stayed with our 13 month old baby and his cot was ready and sheets were prepared. The...

Personally greeted and wish farewell by our host, this was a great place to stay situated perfectly midway between Castlebar and Westport. Spotless rooms, great breakfast, free wifi and parking and a comfy bed. Double glazed windows makes the rooms nice and quiet.

It was raining and cold and 10.00pm on a Monday evening. I rang the front-door bell. Kay opened the door and the warm smile and offer of a room was music toy ears. Kay offered me a pot of tea and ham and cheese toasties. I had driven about 500 miles and had not eaten since breakfast. The warm Irish...

We stayed for 2 nights in Windermere House, arriving late Friday night and found landlady Kay to be most welcoming and ready to make tea if we wished but we had a function to attend so left immediately and arrived back to a large ensuite double room at 1am to find the heating still on. For the two mornings that...

In may we went for our first time to Ireland, rented a car and saw many things of beautiful western Ireland. For the nights we went to B&B's. So we met Kay and her husband. They are very kind people. The rooms were very beautiful and clean and in the morning we got a perfect Irish breakfast. Their house is...
