We stayed for 2 nights with our two dogs. Picked up from the ferry. Welcomed with freshly baked scones and tea (delicious). Tour of the lighthouse. Room was just beautifully done - definitely boutique hotel standard. The wind could be heard all around...you really feel as though you're on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean but toastie warm inside. Spectacular...

It is an adventure getting here by ferry but we were picked up at the jetty and taken to this magnificent lighthouse on the other side of the island. Its amazing setting perched high on a cliff face was made even better by the dark clouds and the passing storms yet we were snug in our comfortable and spacious tower...

We stayed two nights and Trisha was the most fantastic hostess. We couldn't have felt more relaxed leaving the island and during our stay and couldn't recommend the place enough. We have travelled a lot but this was a unique setting as the pictures show.

This place is in an amazing location, on a beautiful island and we were fortunate to be there in relatively good weather. The lighthouse itself has been renovated to a very high standard and the accommodation lived up to its billing as simple but beautifully appointed and did not disappoint. The catering was again of a very high standard (though...

Our group of 9 lighthouse enthusiasts have seen nearly 100 lighthouses and this would have to be one of our top 10 experiences. We caught the ferry across and were met and transported across the island to the lighthouse on the far side of the island with ease and engaging conversation. Like most lighthouses, it is on a rugged coastline,...

The lighthouse is not open to the public, though it can be hired for events. It is a lovely energetic walk (1 hour) from the pier. The views on a clear day, as we had, are stunning, out across Clew Bay and the coastline. Walk from here over the hills to the Abbey, where Grainne Ualie (Grace O'Malley), Ireland's pirate...
