I would highly recommend a stay in the Helm. A great price for a lovely little apartment that had plenty of space and facilities for myself and my three friends. There were three bedrooms - one double downstairs and two upstairs - each with a double and a single bed. There was a bathroom downstairs and an ensuite upstairs. The...

Excellent food at the helm this evening, we dropped in after a day trip to bertha beach and we really enjoyed the food, the cod and salmon were both excellent with mash pototoes, vegetables and chips, very generous portions with a very friendly service. The venue was a little bit dark and slightly cold hiding the beautiful day outside.

A great welcome awaits in this lovely pub just outside the town of Westport. There are apartments over the pub which come well equipped and extremely clean. Service for drinks and food was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was fab and most welcome after sampling many of the super pubs that Westport has to offer! Only slight gripe is the price...

12 of us stayed here on Saturday night in the apartments and we had the best time. The service was brilliant. The food was just amazing. Banoffee pie is to die for :) Vinny and all the staff could not help us enough. I would advise anyone young or old if looking for accommodation in Westport to choose The Helm....

Good price apartment over pub but quiet. Nice size room and good service and great breakfast. One bad point air con unit outside room was a bit noisy but turned off at 12 midnight back on about 7. Would recommend a stay for adults.

Excellent value for money. Having two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and bathroom. Gorgeous setting and location. Much better than a having a hotel, both money wise and space wise. Would definitely recommend.

We recently stayed at the Helm BnB for a Hen weekend and we were overwhelmed with hospitality. Tony picked us up from the train station and Shane looked after our every need. The accommodation was perfect for our hen party (group of 33 ladies), the food was delish and the staff were great. Top marks for their fabulous poached eggs...

|We booked the Helm as a base to tour Mayo and it was a brilliant choice. The apartment you actually get is spacious and clean with everything you could need. The kitchen is fully equipped and we had very good free wifi. The welcome pack was brilliant and just what we needed. The only improvement would be to add a...

Per the title of this review, the breakfasts (traditional Irish and scrambled eggs with bacon were my selections) were amazing and I fell in love with their fresh-baked soda bread. Our room was nice, but a little worn around the edges. The only difficulty we had was that the band playing in the pub downstairs sounded like it was in...

We booked a three bedroom apartment in this B&B. Stayed for three nights in Sept. Nice location right outside of the main town, close to the Westport house and right near water. Lots of parking available! Breakfast was ideal and they catered to our children with making eggs scrambled and fried instead of just poached. Had dinner on the first...
