After a hectic day, myself & my other half wanted to unwind and relax with some food. We arrived later than expected just as food was about to end. However when we both approached the counter we were welcomed by Maire with a warm smile & a helpful attitude! She was very prompt & quick to get us seated and...

The Westenra Arms hotel is set in the heart of Monaghan town centre. It offers a wide range of activities to do including its great food. Recommend for anyone who is interested in staying in Monaghan or indeed anyone who is looking for a grand place to eat.

We called in for something to eat on our way through Monaghan. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was superb. The surrounding were clean and a very high standard. All in all we had a very enjoyable meal we will definitely be back.

Arrived and got offered a suite due to being fully booked, that was ok! Arrived in room and it's so outdated, it's old fashioned, the decor is dark and it's very dreary. The wifi in the room is non existent. There is none- wasn't available in the suite. I wanted food so went to the bar, which was busy but...

We rolled in without a reservation and the lovely woman at the front desk gave us the Diamond Suite. What an elegant room! Big four poster bed, posh bathroom, sitting area and large flatscreen TV, I wished we were staying more than one night! Breakfast was included in the rate and was delicious. I would love to come back and...

Stayed for 1 night family night away. Friendly staff, bar area busy and food did not disappoint, garlic mushrooms were lovey and the cheesecake yum! Steak and chicken dishes lovely. Accommodation: good room a bit small and dated, TV kept flickering. Nice and warm. Overall nice breakaway
