This was the only place left to stay when we decided to go last minute to Waterford. The rate was the cheapest around. You get what you pay for. One person working the entire time we were there, no welcome area, no bar, no restaurant, no phone in the room, no feeling of comfort or homeliness anywhere. The halls are...

I felt the location was great, 10 min walk from city centre. Room was simple, shower simple to use. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Good value for money. Perfectly suited for my trip. Would definitely is again.

We travelled to Waterford recently and booked 3 rooms at the hotel. When we arrived the rooms were ready, clean and perfectly fine, it's not the Ritz but it doesn't pretend to be! The staff were all friendly and helpful, we asked for an iron and ironing board which was supplied straight away. If you are looking to spend a...

We are well travelled and often reviewers. We enjoy nothing better than to give a good or great review. That means that we have had a good or great experience. Well that cant be said for the Travelodge Waterford. The room was smelly. Combination of damp and tobacco would be our guess. When we arrived, we wanted to watch a...

Booked Travelodge as nowhere else available for date we had to be in Waterford. Booked family room of one double and two singles. Onentering room saw only a double bed so went back to reception and thought they just made a mistake....however we were told that the 2 singles were in fact not beds at all but just mattresses that...

Dear 3musketeers2006, Thank you for your review. I do apologise for any confusion regarding our room types and regret that the room was not suitable to your own particular requirements on this occasion. The typical Travelodge branded family room consists of a king size double bed and 2 fully functional pull out truckle beds which are stored underneath the main...

Staff were lovely on reception and room was clean. The beds are comfortable and no problem with temperature. Bathroom was functional but in need of update. Only issue with the hotel, for the price, was the noise. We stayed Sunday to Wednesday which you would have thought would be quieter, but there was noise all night. The walls were so thin...

Arriving by bus from Dublin airport with heavy luggage the only convenient option to get to Travelodge was by taxi (15 euro) otherwise the distance was around 20 – 30mins walk from the town centre. Considering the price of 54 euro/night that we paid: Room size and work area: Good Presentation/Ambience: Bad Sleep quality: Bad (noise right outside the room...

Smelt very bad like something died in the hallways, rooms were freezing, security walk into your room at any given hour, staff are rude, for the price i got charged I would have gotten a properly friendly hotel for it and it's suppose to be best for value I beg to differ

I too would like the opportunity to respond to " general manager Connor "

I would further ask how the disgusting smell in the upstairs corridor would be attributed to another property having sewerage problems when other parts of the travel lodge and external areas had no smell at all ?

I cannot understand how just a certain area on the first floor would be affected as pipework would run throughout the building and any build up would come upwards from the ground floor?

Further to this ,reading through all the reviews ,the responses are inconsistent , they tell us that a refurbishment has been taking place anytime over the last 12-18 months , that beds have " all been renewed " .. are " in the process of bring renewed" or " will all be renewed shortly" .

Some reviews posted in August 2015 have only had responses updated by " The manager" in mid 2016 .. so problems have been ongoing for some time then ?

I would reiterate despite the claims that I am wrong , that people are actually being housed there .

I have looked at the reviews in detail , on several occasions where very good reviews have been written the reviewers are all " first time reviewers" ? ....mmm?

Perhaps there should be a way of contacting these " reviewers" to check the validity of the entries .

Why , after constant complaints , about groups congregating outside the front door being loud etc etc would you encourage them with a smoking area ?

Move it further away !

Shame on Travelodge head office for not looking after their brand / property / reputation . The word Hostel has been used in many of the reviews I have read .. I think that could even be a bit derogatory of some hostels. Thorough cleaning , ongoing maintenance , staffing , new bedding .. the list is endless ...no , for me this last visit was enough .. never ever will I recommend a visit here and hell would freeze over before I would stay or let my family stay there .
