We stayed one night at room number 3. The room is very small and down the stairs is a double bed with pocket springs which is in dire need of replacement. We've slept for an hour or two because of it. The room is very noisy because of the parking lot at the back and there was a horrible smell...

I booked a 4 night stay for our visit to the Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival. The Charlotte Guest House is situated a short drive from Peterborough city centre (it is also on a main bus route should you need public transport) and has it's own FREE parking facility. We arrived on a damp, chilly January afternoon and were given a...

I was staying in Peterborough with a friend on a walking holiday, for 4 nights. Given we would be leaving early and drinking beer in the evening we wanted something simple and close to town, and this fitted the bill. It is not really a hotel but a B&B - there is no restaurant and no bar. The rooms are...

Couldn't get an overnight stay anywhere either too pricey (£100 for Premier etc.... Get real!) or fully booked. Stayed here for around £50 for the room inc breakfast. On the plus side, ample parking at the rear. The busy boss lady very obliging, welcoming accommodating, we thought we might arrive vey late and she had all sorts of contingencies in...

I booked a double room and asked, if possible for one on the ground floor. This was granted and for the price was a good room. Strong WiFi signal, good enough to watch Amazon Prime without buffering. The bathroom was of a good standard given the price, the shower having good pressure and temperature. This is a large former residential...

The owner was very helpful and friendly. The room had reasonable if dated furniture & pictures but had a strong smell of damp, the main room good size but the en-suite was cramped with an extremely noisy extractor fan, mirror light didn't work, so no alternative but to put main light on with the noise. 20 min walk into the...

Good vist , make sure you park in the car park as I parked in the residential area and my car was covered in eggs when I returned both nights thought my car would be ok outside someone's house but does not look that Way apart from that hotel clean and very friendly, will definitely return.

I stayed here for one night as a short getaway. The welcome was nice and genuine. Our room was changed to a nicer one which was a nice touch. The room was decent and at the back of the establishment overlooking the carpark so there was no street noise. It wasn't a large room but it was fine for the...

This Hotel is clean, comfortable, and provides a decent breakfast. An inexpensive hotel that meets your needs, in addition it's close to the centre of Peterborough. The hotel provides off road parking too.

Charlotte House is a B&B with close proximity to Peterborough city centre is also OK but being on the busy London Road the noise is not an issue.I didn't stay for breakfast so cannot report on it. My room was a single which was adequately sized for the single bed which was comfortable with clean linen and comfy pillows. The...
