I stayed in Room 5 which was extremely basic. Spent two nights there being severely bitten on my hands and feet...

The Hero of Aliwal was a last minute choice for us us our accommodation fell through elsewhere. We called ahead first of all to check availability & to to discuss our requirements. Don't get me wrong, we're not a fussy bunch, just wanted them to be aware that we were coming with a two year old & not everyone likes...

Absolutely awful B and B. Shared bathroom was disgusting, mouldy, dirty toilet, wet towels on the floor all night., wash basin filthy. Couldn't face cleaning my teeth in there, as it was so bad. My room had a shower with the sign "please do not urinate in the shower, it is not pleasant for the next guest." This may be,...

The breakfasts are indeed wonderful and you can eat as much or as little as you like all freshly cooked by...

Stayed here for the Whittlesey Strawbear weekend. Had a nice, clean, basic en suite room. Very reasonably priced. We are veggie so didn't take advantage of the large cooked breakfasts which appeared very generous. Chef was happy to make us what we wanted to accommodate unusual diet (veggie gluten free - took my own bread). Friendly staff. It was nice...
