We stayed at the hotel for four days, the general appearance of the inside is looking very tired but the staff did their best in most cases. The restaurant had the same menu for the entire stay. When I questioned this I was told that the Chef bought food in baulk and the menu wouldn't be changed until it was...

Old building with character, however some very poor workmanship in restoration. Bit shabby, there are much better 4* hotels in the area. I personally think Old Swan is nothing like we expect a 4* hotel to be, no mini bar, no luxury extras, not even cushions on bed, dirty kettle and shoddy repairs in bathroom. Receptionist was miserable and argumentative...

We booked the Library function room for our team of 10. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by John who checked our requirements for the day. The refreshments during the day and the lunch were served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Much to the delight of a member of our team they had decaff tea on offer.... no big deal...

Stayed at this hotel to celebrate my Wife's birthday In the lovely town of Harrogate. The hotel is very grand with periodic features. Staff were pleasant, rooms were clean and spacious. There is limited car parking available for guests but make sure you request a parking permit when checking in. Will definitely be visiting Harrogate again and will stay at...

People often talk about going on holidays and telling you their horror stories about their stay. well this is my horror story. Arriving into the hotel, I went to reception to check in and get my keycard, I asked the person serving me about it being a quite room. "I don't know" was the answer I was given. Not the...

We stayed here when we were attending a dinner dance. Our room was spacious and comfortable. although it was very warm. This hotel has a lot of history. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. The Evening meal was delicious and could not be faulted.

I was excited to stay here as I had heard great things and I was not disappointed. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out and there is some old newspaper pieces about Agatha Christie on the wall which adds to the intrigue :)) the dining room is lovely and has a huge glass ceiling. The room we stayed in...

Room OK. Bathroom very poor. Hot water took 5 minutes to arrive and cold water pressure so poor that impossible to adjust temperature. Asked them to correct or switch us to different room. Neither happened. Service almost non-existent in restaurant. Had to re-order once as they had lost our order. Badly in need of updating - hotel and service.
