We thought we had booked a deluxe double room with booking.com but unfortunately it had not gone through - definately not the White Hart's fault. This had not happened to us before so when we were offered the only (tiny) room left we opted to take it so that we were not left looking for somewhere else. We were shown...

We booked this hotel as we have passed it many times and have often thought how lovely it looks with its smart exterior and the popular 'fat Badger' bar attached. the very nicely furnished restaurant and hairdressers gives an impression of high standards. walking into the lobby, these impressions continue however, once upstairs, this perception begins to be marked. The...

The Receptionist who welcomed us was very pleasant and cheerful, unfortunately that is the only positive comment I can make. We had booked a double room for 2 nights as a mid-week break. On entering our room I took a sharp intake of breath, the room was narrow and very dark with battleship grey paint on the walls, there were...

The hotel has a noisy bar, and function rooms on the first floor. Events can finish at midnight. Beware if you want a quiet night. Although we asked to be moved to a quiet room the staff were not obliging. Considering the high cost we paid this was poor hotel choice and we would not go back.

Firstly, the positives, the hotel is ideally located in central Harrogate, I was with a group of girls 6, in total we booked the Turkish baths a meal in Harrogate so the hotel was ideally located for all of this, just a nice walk. The hotel was clean and tidy, our party took 3 rooms and there was a staggering...

This was our stopover for the festival as we decided late to attend and the White Hart was the only place that could accomodate 3 in one room. We were met with a smile by Helen and shown to our family room which overlooked the street. Lovely room, fab bathroom, comfortable beds. They had even reserved us a table for...

We enjoyed our visit , and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our recently refurbished room ( 115) was excellent but it overlooked the side of the hotel and the after hours noise - 6 am onwards was unbearable with waste disposal vehicles arriving every morning at 6 am . Disappointed to discover the price we paid was much...

Firstly, the location is excellent with ample covered car parking at the rear. In the leafy Montpelier area of central Harrogate, everything is easy walkable distance: Shops, Valley gardens, the Pump Rooms, Bettys tea rooms etc. The old grand building has a good pub/eatery on the ground floor - The Fat Badger. Rooms (ours anyway) were good and recently renovated...

I didn't want to resort to TripAdvisor but since writing to the manager to complain and still having no response or acknowledgement after over 2 weeks I feel it necessary. We were checked into room 224. On our way along the corridor to the room we had to climb over several bags of laundry to reach the room. When we...

We checked in after parking our car in the very convenient car park at the rear of the hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and wasted no time in making us feel welcome . The hotel itself is nicely styled, beautiful dining rooms , and as we found out later lovely meals too! We went up to our room which...
