Stayed at the Linden Tree, thankfully for only one night. We booked two rooms and they both smelt of stale cigarettes. The double room bed needed a new mattress - springs coming through so a grim night's sleep. According to the information in the room the hairdryer was supposed to be in the desk drawer - maybe it was in...

I have recently started a new job and it was my turn to book our accommodation for my work superior and myself. It was my time to shine and impress! After extensively searching the interweb for Gloucester hotels, this one stood out like a burger at a vegan party. The website was enticing like a pair of my wife's saucy...

We have just come back from our 1 night stay in the linden tree in Gloucester, the pub itself was quite quirky and the lady Val I think her name is was a good chuckle. The room was on a slant, you'd want to be careful coming in there if you have had a few drinks, the bathroom reminded me...

A very quirky, old hotel. Watch out for the very low beams in the bar area. Friendly & helpful staff. Large odd shaped rooms. Comfortable beds. It's a bit of a walk to find a pub to eat in, unless you choose to stay in.

The accommodation is above a pub. It has a variety of real ales and can open late(ish). The rooms are of varying size, but always clean and comfortable. It's ideal for an overnight stay if you're on business or want somewhere close to the city centre. There is a separate front door to access accommodation outside of pub hours. Breakfasts are...

We stayed for 1 night was met by the owner who was friendly and showed us to our room which was a big double room quite basic but had tea making facilities trouser press! My only gripe would be the net curtains need replacing otherwise spotless with crisp, clean white bed linen and towels. A good location within walking distance of...

We were greeted by a very nice and welcoming gentleman, who showed us our room. The room was very clean and very good for the price. We arrived late and ordered a bar meal, I had Ham egg and chips and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed the different beers on offer. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast....

Rooms vary in size and stature and at least one had separate shared toilet. Although in a Pub I only stayed the one night but it was quiet enough. Had a meal in the evening which was adequate from a standard looking menu that wasn't very adventurous. Breakfast was served in a large function room with a traditional skittles game...

The Linden Tree is on a fairly busy road south of Gloucester centre, within walking distance of the Gloucester Quays shopping centre, and in an area full of (mainly Indian and Chinese) cafes and restaurants. It's an old (Georgian) building, and the bedrooms reflect that, feeling old-fashioned with rather tired decoration and furnishing. The bed in my room had seen...

The pub itself is nice lots of real ales . However it is on a busy road which is noisy all night . When we arrived the lady appeared to be irritated that we were there , I was told breakfast was between 9 + 930 , I explained that we had an earlyish start , about 745 , so...
