Had three very pleasant days stay. the host Robert could not do enough to help you. The breakfasts were brill. the room I had was near the busy road and hence was a little noisy at night. Can't fault the place. On departure was shown a quieter room at the back for my next visit.

We stayed in the family room, which was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and wonderful service plenty of space for dining. The location is perfect for visiting Gloucester but set in a rural backdrop.

I stayed at brookthorpe lodge for 6 weeks while on a course for work, 6 weeks is a long enough time to notice faults with a place and I can safely say that there where none! It was becoming expensive for me to eat out all the time during my stay, but Robert went out and bought a microwave for...

We were drawn by all the good reviews about this b&b but can only assume that they aren't referring to the family room - which is probably best described as in need of a refurb - smelt very fusty and had holes in the out-of-date embossed wallpaper. Furniture looking a little worse for wear including wobbly bunk beds. Was also...

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We try to ensure all our guests feel comfortable with their room temperature. The unseasonably mild and damp weather at the moment may not have helped. Our breakfast menu we believe, strikes the right balance for all tastes, not only do we offer a variety and choice for a freshly...

Stayed at Brookthorpe on weekend of 27 June 2014. I had booked a single room but was VERY pleased to be given a double room with en-suite at no extra cost. I visited Brookthorpe with another couple who also had a very comfortable double en-suite room. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, beds very comfortable, tea and coffee were supplied...

Traditional decor but spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Very warm welcome. On a main road so some traffic noise but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend it. Easy parking and in a good location for access to Cotswolds attractions.

Delighted to have found this very comfortable and exceptionally clean B & B, which is now firmly on my list for a return visit - one night was certainly not sufficient, but on this occasion it was a means to an end. I needed somewhere to stay overnight, as I journeyed home from the north to the south west, after...

I have stayed here a couple of times and I love the setting, the proprietor is very friendly and helpful, makes you feel very welcome, and the room I've had both times has been very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast sets you up for the day. I would highly recommend this place to others and it's very good value too.

I needed accommodation in Gloucester quickly, and laterooms.com directed me to this fine B&B. It was spotless and very comfortable with a friendly and helpful proprietor and excellent breakfast with a great choice and lots of good coffee! The quiet rural location just outside the city made for a restful night. HIghly recommended. The entrance gate is easy to miss...
