We arrived just after 11.30 and were checked in a reception with no problems. The car park is to the rear of the hotel and was easy enough to find and ample space. Our room was Budget room on the roadside of the hotel on the ground floor. There was no road noise I could here and no internal noise.... More

Reasonable budget hotel in convenient location for centre of Gloucester. Free car park. Room very clean, and perfectly comfortable. Good selection of freeview TV channels and radio channels. Fair breakfast. Not a boutique hotel and not a chain.

The hotel was well located, 15 to 20 mins walk to the centre of Gloucester. We stayed on the cold weekend 5th and 6th of November. The room was very cold the radiators were off, when I asked the owner about it he said didn't you turn them on, I thought they came on automatic. On return to the hotel... More

The main attraction of this Hotel is the location, being 10 minutes walk from the centre, and the free car park at the rear. As a consequence we were able to park up for the weekend and walk into the centre and have a drink without any worries. There's also a bus stop nearby if you want to go further.... More

A very traditional hotel located 1 km from the city centre so easy walk to there and the dock area. The superior rated room 12 was large and comfortable. I would have liked a lockable window since this room is on the ground floor and there is no safe. Quality king sized double. Friendly and professional staff. Good breakfast. Private... More

We stayed there for a weekend in October. The proprietor was welcoming and gave us lots of info on best pubs, restaurants, sights etc. The room was fairly small but clean and with ample storage. The bathroom however was huge. Complimentary toiletries consisted of sachets of shower/bath gel and small soap. Brekafast was rather disappointing - The dining room was... More

This was a nice change to the usual boring budget chain hotels we usually stay in. It has a lot of character, being an historical building. It is handily placed on the main road leading to town which is just 10 minutes walk. We were hospitably greeted and presented with a guide to the city centre, as it was our... More

Our second time staying here. We used to live in Gloucester and often travel back to see friends (All the ones that never visit US !) or to watch Gloucester Rugby lose. We picked the Edward because it's convenient for town and the railway station but is far enough out of the centre that you don't get much late night... More

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. If you want a boutique hotel or a chain don't go here! This is a unique hotel that is really well priced and lovely service. On arrival you have to ring the doorbell. We were shown to our 'home ' for the next two nights. Comfortable rooms with complimentary toiletries. There is tea... More

We enjoyed our cozy room built in the 1700s. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The English Breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were very helpful and enthusiastic about the history of Gloucester. The room was small, but the lounge was accessible and perfect for reading and games. There was also an English Garden and patio available. I would highly... More
