We spent 4 hours here on Saturday afternoon, had a few drinks and some very good freshly prepared beef burgers. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was very reasonable. I'd recommend this place for a good drinking session

We booked at the very last minute for an overnight stay, securing the last available room. While the overall impression of the venue was jaw droppingly good, our room was rather tired. However all we wanted was a clean and comfortable place to sleep in the middle of our two days mooching round Gloucester's sights and the New Inn couldn't...

I was in Gloucester and I needed a room for the night so I used my laterooms app and found the New Inn. I chose it because it was close to the station and the price was within my limits and it said it was Gloucesters oldest building and I like a piece of history. My customer ran me as...

This inn is steeped in history (and featured prominently in a historical novel I was reading during my visit to Gloucester), and the buildings are marvellous, but as a pub, it was disappointing. Several of the real ales were unavailable as it was mid-week, the lunch was good, but ordinary pub fare, and in general, the atmosphere of the place...

Stayed here for 3nights. We stayed in the lady Jane suite. It was lovely and spacious. We quite liked the uneven floors. The bathroom itself was lovely and had a large bath. The only thing which was a disappointment was the size of the towels. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We also ate in the restaurant on the first...

Thank you for a lovely review and taking the time to leave one. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us, unfortunately the towels do come from an external company, but this is something I will mention to them to see if we can sort different sizes out. Once again thank you very much.

Not sure what previous reviewers expected from a 500 year old building! Yes floors were far from level and it needs some TLC, but I gather the new owners have plans. We found the staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, plenty of it, topped regularly. The Karaoke was entertaining if not musical, and switched off at midnight. Have stayed...

Only stopped off for a beer whilst visiting Gloucester. Fantastic buildings, but bat absolutely stunk of disinfectant, beer was vile, and no one to mention it to as the kids running the place were outside having a fag. 1.30 pm, Tuesday 7th February

This hotel is very priceworthy, right in the middle of central Gloucester and close to the amazing cathedral. The building itself is 600 years old, the place is very cosy with several pubs and coffee shop. We got a very large room, a suite, with crooked floors and quite standard furnishing, but it didn't matter for just one night. Appreciated...

Stayed here with friends whilst in the area for the Cheltenham racing. Friendly welcome, spacious triple room, clean and comfortable. The building itself is amazing. The courtyard, and bar and reception areas leading off it, with the rooms looks over is really different and unique. Breakfast was good. Ample choice, although slow to bring out fresh food. There were several...

Fantastic find, right in the centre of Gloucester town, a bit of olde worlde charm. A traditional coaching inn, step into the courtyard from the main shopping street and its like going back in time. The rooms were clean and comfortable. But this is a very old place with all the charm and querks that brings. Great staying at the...
