Good overall experience.Clean and comfy .Breakfast was superb for money and staff couldn’t do enough for us.Parking was a bit difficult as it was Saturday and full of shoppers.Whole hotel looked very clean and tidy on arrival and seemed to be efficiently run.
This was a post lockdown family reunion weekend break for me my sister and my nephew we stayed numerous times when property was first owned by Hampton by Hilton so me and my sister have personal connections to hotel so was only natural that on premier inn taking over hotel it’s the logical choice for stay the staff are fantastic check in was smooth and swift and when issues occurred namely the correct beds not been setup I spoke to very helpful member of staff who promptly notified housekeeping and in time for my sister n nephew arriving this was promptly sorted and the staff were very quick to follow up on rectification satisfaction I also booked us for the £9.50 unlimited breakfast which as ever was fantastic and sets you up for the day (full compliments to the chef) who should get Michelin stars ⭐️ for his work and recognition another thing we loved is fact that the staff always willing to chat when not busy and this approach leaves me feeling that premier inn are family as the saying goes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it Another awesome experience was the incredible showers provided myself I had cool showers to help night time wind down n hot morning showers to liven me up pre breakfast which being autistic is a important aspect for me in relation to sleep Definitely recommend 110% we have already booked our next break to coincide with the local April holiday for a week and look forward to expanding the horizons and sampling the evening food offerings Keep up the good work full compliments to all the staff and thanks to you all for making my nephew happy and leaving him with awesome memories he’s looking forward to next stay in 5 weeks…
couldnt fault the staff nor the breakfast. car park was a bit rubbish but it did say on the website that it wasnt premier inns. our room overlooked the river and it was brilliant we even had a swift beer before meeting my ex uni friends for a catch up. after staying here once I will now definitely stay again.
Overall the experience was one to be of great warmth and comfort! The friendly team behind the desk and at breakfast made me and my wife feel at ease with the way they explained things. Great hospitality and customer service so thank you very much for everything.
Friendly staff and good vibe in the bar before the match. Was nice that the staff could have a laugh with you. Clean comfy room and great breakfast too. East to get to from the train station and ideal location for walking to the football.
I stayed in this hotel because of the location from the bus station and the short walk via the riverside footpath to the railway station, as the fixture was at Burton on Trent, and I was travelling from Buxton.
We purchased the meal deal which gives each person 2 courses from the evening menu and a full breakfast for £24.99 per person. We booked the restaurant for 7.00pm. After waiting for one and a half hours after we ordered our meal the chef told us he was doing his best. We gave up on the evening meal and went to bed hungry as there was no real sign of being served that evening. Breakfast the following morning was very average. The sausages were of a cheap quality, the bacon was fatty and the eggs were cold. Don't stay here unless you are planning to eat elsewhere.
The lift only took us to level three We were on level four so took the stairs from three Difficult as I have mobility issues My wife checked us in earlier so it was too late to do much about it Bit of a shame as everything else was fine
The room I stayed in had no heater; it was the new year's eve and the new year when I stayed, and it was freezing cold in the room. I asked for a heater several times, but I never received one. The stuff was rude.
Stayed for one night before moving to another hotel. Location is great, although no drop off point for the hotel and no parking available. Rooms are a little tired. Beds comfy. Showers not great. Staff super friendly and welcoming.
