I've had mixed feelings about Chiseldon House having had poor service there many years ago (before tripadvisor) over which I wrote a strong letter of complaint. I'm fairly sure there have been new owners for some years now since this is our second visit for afternoon tea and we were not disappointed. I can see that much investment has been...

I stayed here for two nights whilst exploring nearby sights in Wiltshire with my husband. The hotel was beautiful, very charming and well maintained. The staff were very friendly. I agree with previous reviews; this place is excellent. The breakfasts were amazing! I would definitely stay here again.

We have just had a lovey afternoon high tea to celebrate my mother's birthday. Excellent service and a very tasty selection of food. Very good value and would highly recommend visiting Chiseldon House for tea.

Afternoon tea as a belated Mother's day present for my mother. She is elderly and disabled so struggles to move around, but the wonderful staff were very accomodating by suggesting we use the side door instead of the steps as my mum wanted to not use her wheelchair. We arrived early as was not sure how long it would take...

I have stayed at the Chiseldon, many times on business as very close to Swindon (Head Office). The staff are very friendly always helpful. The restaurant is 1st Class, with a very good choice and fantastically cooked. The Rooms are all very different in style but all to a very high standard, my favourite room is no.9 "The Blue Room"...

We visited on Mothers Day so had to book in advance, however this was probably one of the busiest days of the year for a late lunch/afternoon tea/high tea and the small restaurant in the old part of Chiseldon House was full of guests, but there was ample room and we were not crammed in, and it overlooks the front...

A Christmas present of an afternoon tea at Chiseldon House was a nice surprise. Finally we booked for last week and a great afternoon we had. Booking was easy and staff very helpful and ensured any food allergies were taken into consideration. On arrival a warm welcome was provided together with our personalised afternoon tea menu. Having had coats taken...

My husband and I have been visiting various country house hotels for the past couple of years to have afternoon tea and Chiseldon House Hotel rates as one of the very best. The room we were taken to had such a lovely atmosphere and was beautifully decorated mixing the old with the new in a tasteful manner. The service was...

Visited for Afternoon Tea , having never been before, and was very pleasantly surprised. The presentation was very good with ample supply of tea, coffee etc. All of the elements of the afternoon tea were very nice indeed and tasty. Before the main event appeared we were given a scoop of rhubarb and star anise sorbet to cleanse the palate...

Myself and my mum enjoyed a fantastic afternoon tea here today. We were looked after impeccably by Ryan and his team, in particular a young lady whose name I did not get. The food was incredible and we were offered unlimited tea to go with it. Ryan is a real credit to your hotel, who was kind, patient and so...
