We have been here a few times and the quality has been good but on this last visit two of our party had the beef stroganoff which when it arrived the beef was very tough. When this was pointed out to a member of staff on payment, there was no explanation only disinterest.

My partner and I went for a valentines meal. The menu was brilliant and good value for money at £39.95 per couple. The food was perfect and very generous portions. The staff were welcoming and friendly a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be returning to have the steak offer.

Excellent food, friendly helpful staff and real ale, plus definetly value for money - what more could you ask for. 16 friends sat down to a 3 course evening meal off the party menu and 14 stayed overnight - nothing but praise from our friends.

Seven of us went out for a Xmas meal. Good value for money. Staff were pleasant. Didn't have to wait. We had Xmas fare was very nice only thing main course could have been hotter and place was very busy so food shouldn't have been hanging around. But will go again

We stayed here three nights and found The White House a pleasant place to stay. Staff was helpful, meals in the restaurant were good, breakfast was excellent. We found the lighting in our room to be quite dim. Overall our room was clean and adequate.

The restaurant was good st breakfast with friendly staff who see to all your needs. In the evening we had the steak deal...

Hotel is nice enough. Little dated and tired in places but staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. Toiletries are sachets so better to bring your own. Breakfast is good. Staff are very cheerful and helpful for that time of the morning. Restaurant is good food good reasonably priced

This is a clean looking small hotel with adequate rooms and a modern bar. The staff are very helpful. Detail cleaning is not the best as the bathroom extractor and curtains were decorated with fluff and cobwebs. There is not much in the way of soundproofing as overamorous couples and nightime revellers returning to rooms can be heard in intimate...
