Detailed Reviews
I stayed twice while working nights nearby so slept during the day. Even on the 4th floor, you can still hear traffic but it's on the quiet side (I'll try the 5th floor next time). The curtains block the light but there's a lot that leaks in from the sides and bottom.
The room was clean and bed smartly made up. The bed is on the firmer side than I prefer but matches the medium/firm description. The pillows were ok and I didn't have neckache, good considering I normally use memory foam support pillows.
The window had been left ajar so was cold and it took the wall heater time to warm it up as it didn't seem to be on all the time, maybe it's timer controlled.
The shower room was clean, towels are provided (2 bath, 1 hand) that aren't super soft and fluffy but adequate, with wall dispensers for hand wash and shower wash. The shower wash had run out both times so I showered with hand wash. It should've been filled before I checked in but during my stay housekeeping couldn't come in, I was too tired to mention it to reception and the hand wash worked fine. Once the sink plug had been left closed and it didn't open despite firmly pressing it in the middle and edge so I wasn't sure if it was a flip style, pop up or broken. I told reception who promptly came up and sorted it by banging hard on it with a handle to flip it open.
The are no drawers to put your clothes in, just about 6 coat hangers (the hook is fixed but the body unhooks from it).
There is a kettle, 2 cups and spoons, and tea, coffee, sugar and UHT milk packets. You can ask reception for more.
Covid measures were in place, with extra cleaning taking place. I didn't use the restaurant, it was open but you book and they bring the meal to your table.
I walked from the train station. If you walk along Pegler Way, you'll come across the entrance and exit to the car park. The pavement stops but you can walk past the plants to the hotel entrance.
Overall a good budget hotel.
The hotel is very centrally located on the high street with pubs, restaurants, takeaways, etc. with general shopping just a little further away. An Asda superstore is 6 mins walk to the South.

The rooms are standard Travelodge - decent and comfortable. There is no air con in the rooms, which is a bit of an issue but they were well organised - the room was left with the window open, the curtains shut and a fan operating. I stayed on the 5th floor, which is the top floor and may help to keep external noise levels down.
The hotel is very central. The staff were well trained, polite and helpful.
I will return.

Stayed here on multiple occasions during the last 6 weeks whilst doing my cabin crew training. Extremely good rates and never had any issues at all!! Breakfast very good, English breakfast plus fruit, cereals, yoghurts and pastries! All staff really friendly. Spoke to Craig on reception a lot as he was often there when we checked in, other staff lovely too however not sure if there names! Nothing was ever too much trouble!! Free parking too which is a bonus and there was 2 of us sharing a room and we was both able to park our cars there. Walking distance from town centre and leisure park with cinema bowling and handful of restaurants which was very handy for us! Only about 10 minute drive from where we needed to do our training at Gatwick and about 15 mins from the terminal! Can add WiFi as a package when you book or if you donāt you can either get 30 mins free or pay Ā£3 for 24 hours, and a little bit more for 48 hours etc! I had never stayed in a travelodge before so didnāt know what to expect but I would highly recommend if youāre looking for a low cost place to stay, eg for cabin crew training like us/pre flight etc! Basic rooms but get what you pay for and we had no problems at all.

My partner and I had booked a well deserved night away and a theatre show and we decided to stay in Crawley for the evening. Big mistake!
We were greeted by a male member of reception staff who was a real ācomedianā when we arrived. He said āwe were staying in the honeymoon suiteā and I was extremely happy to think that we may have been upgraded. Clearly not the case. He then said that we had a room with a sea view....it would seem that he had a sense of humour.
When we returned from the show to have a drink or two before bedtime (in the 24 hour bar I might add!) he refused to serve my partner, strongly objecting to a comment that my partner made to him in jest. We were so disgusted that we packed our bags and left. I would like to add that I had paid almost Ā£60.00 for the room and breakfast.
Our night was completely ruined and we were really looking forward to our well deserved night away. I tried calling Travelodge this morning to make a complaint but it was impossible (along with their exorbitant call charge prices and a lengthy time in a queue waiting to be answered!).
Sorry Travelodge, never again.

We spent the night here on 12th July, so convenient for Gatwick Airport, only 10 minutes away.
Our spacious second floor double room was equipped with a fan, tea & coffee making facilities, bottle opener and a wall mounted television.
There was a shower in the bathroom, no bath. Shower gel/body wash was provided as was dispensed hand soap.
The bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean, we got a good night's sleep.
Only niggle was the carpet in the room was a bitĀ tired, apart from that all good.
Although Morrisons Supermarket is closed part of the car park remains open. Guests of the Travelodge can park here free over night, just register the car with the helpful staff at reception when checking in.

Tuesday 20th October and we spent the night here due to it's convenient location for Gatwick Airport, 10 minute drive.
Our double room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The bedding was crisp and clean.
There was no air conditioned in the room however there was a fan, if required. 2 extra pillow were available, in the room, in sealed packaging. There was also a television as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room, additional supplies were available from reception.
When we checked in the Covid19 restrictions were explained to us, including that the communal areas sanitised every 2 hours and not to enter the lift if another person was in it. The bar and restaurant were open but for table service only. Breakfast was also available.
As our flight was not till 11 am we had a reasonably leisurely start to the day following a good night's comfortable sleep.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
Very good value as we only paid Ā£29.99 for the room for the night.
Although the Morrisons Supermarket has closed, the car park is still open for hotel guests to use the allocated spaces.

This is one of the best Travelodges that we have stayed at due to friendly staff and well looked after rooms.
We have now stayed there twice and on both occasions we had a very enjoyable visit.
The location of this Travelodge is also very good for other facilities in Crawley.

Stayed before but this is 1st time for work and loved it. Staff welcome workers and make us feel at home, telling us to wipe our feet or will make us clean the floor. Don't know if they would but although little and lovely, she looks a feisty one so won't chance not doing it. Nice to have banter. Hotel is clean, comfy and friendly. Couldn't ask for more when miles from home. Happy hour is great and it's more than an hour. Result! Just need some sport on the TVs and would be absolutely home from home.

Hertford, United Kingdom7 contributions39 helpful votesHi we are two elderly ladies, we will be landing just after midnight at Gatwick, by time we collect our luggage etc it will be about 1am, how do we get to the Crawley Travelodge please? Thank you
Very easy!! Take the local bus. Ā£2! Exit the airport. Turn right follow the walkway around the corner to the local bus stop. The one you need is in the middle. Go to the end. I think itās #10. But will be written on the bus or ask driver. Crawley Town centre. When you exit the bus, cross the road, turn right then left. Go to the lights by the punc bowl, and cross. Turn right. At the ice cream shop turn left. Barely a five minute walk. When returning to the airport there is a stop just past the ice cream shop towards town vet and that will pick you up and back to the airport. FYI if you need to eat, there is a Weatherspoons just past KFC on same road! Highly recommend. Good prices!
