Me & my husband went for a meal to the Strawbury Duck this evening, we had a table reservation booked & when we arrived the manager (we think he was the manager) went all round the restaurant looking at tables!! maybe they forgot to book our table!! however we were eventually shown to a table that was in a back...

Oh. And they say dog friendly on the website but no longer allow dogs to stay. Not updated website even though we pointed out discrepancy. Further evidence of very poor management. If I was the owner l would fire the manager and breakfast chef, but I guess no one will be bothered.

Just had a lovely overnight stay, both the food and the staff were wonderful. The room was well turned out and clean, they're on the small side, but have all you need and the en suite modern and clean...and as a room at a little old country pub I'd say it was above what you would get at many places,...

Just had lunch at the Strawberry Duck which is local to me, really shocked at how downhill it has now gone. It's known locally that the owner is somewhat 'distant ' from the running of the pub - which is left mostly to very young inexperienced staff, but hey I have paid my money and what a rip off. The...

'That's why children will always be welcome at the Strawbury Duck' well so says the website As a parent of two young children I would suggest the lack of baby change indicates children aren't very welcome. Whilst waiting an hour for our food on what appeared to be a quiet Monday afternoon I needed to change my 8 month old...

I visited the Duck recently after meeting my dear friend for a leisurely stroll around the Wayoh (very beautiful). Anyway I was greeted by a lovely young lady who's name I learned to be Gena, she was our waitress for the remainder of our stay and I must say she is a great asset to this business - very astute!...

On Tuesday night I stayed at the strawberry duck pub, this has become a life changing experience it was so awful. On arrival I was asked if I wanted a room with a shower to which I said yes and I had a nice view of the moor, this was the highlight. At the bar they were out of ordinary...

Staff, location, food, rooms and ideal for train. Staff are young but very competent and professional, we were very impressed. Baths are nice and large, with tap shower, if you want a walkin shower you need to ask for either on the booking, was advised to use booking.com to book as their site booking is down. Would recommend.
