The swimming pool needs a definite upgrade, the rooms were comfortable and cozy. My 3 friends and I, had such a brilliant, warm relaxed, fun stay. The food was served in large portions esp the Eaton Mess but more importantly very delicious. Thank you Alex ... "your nothing was to much trouble approach" and the great service from Wiesi and...

I am a bit of a difficult customer, like quality, comfort and good food. The Apollo surprised me, the room was large Ambassador suite, clean and comfortable and best of all quiet, couldn't hear the neighbours. Hope they didn't hear us as was with my two sisters and we were laughing until midnight. The Food was very good, simple well...

My room wasn't the tidiest it could have been. Far too warm as well and the heating system is pretty old so it took over 2 hours to cool down. The gym is basic and some of the equipment was broken. The pool area did look nice but I didn't use this. The restaurant food menu was poor and not...

The restaurant and the spa were the most disappointing. The spa was really far too small and full of families with young children. I can understand that they allow children in so that they can swim in the pool, but think that there should be limited hours when young children are allowed in. The spa showers and changing area were...

Dear Sue, Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay. I am very sorry to learn of your experiences, especially within Horizons leisure club and the brasserie. I have discussed your points with the department heads. I am also sorry that you felt there wasn't a genuine apology upon your departure. You are always welcome to return and...

We arrived at the hotel on the 17th Feb with the "a little bit special" deal booked. It was for a meal including a bottle of wine and ambassador room with breakfast and use of the spa facilities. The staff were fantastic! Very very friendly, extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was of a good size, very clean and well...

Myself and two sisters stayed at the Apollo for one night. Our stay included dinner and breakfast...the room was clean, spacious and comfortable even with three single beds. Lovely shower and the tea, coffee and biscuits went down a treat. Dinner was excellent, very tasty and good portions. Service was very good, dealt with our requests very professionally. Breakfast, well....everything...

I have stayed here before on a business trip as it is near to the hospital where I am working. Room rate was ok but I did book it through my work app, but the charges they were advertising in the hotel were astronomical. If you read the room description it states toiletries, bath robes etc ......it didn't have this...

Thanks for your comments. I should point out that we have no cleaning staff starting their jobs until after 8am, so cannot understand the vacuuming sound. Additionally, we have over 29 (starter & main) options on our brasserie menu and a microwave isn't used in the preparation of any of them. I apologise that we weren't to your liking and...

Stayed there just for a night with my family. We stayed in the ambassador room and it is a nice room with a comfortable bed. Staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is really good, too. Considering to go back if we plan to visit basingstoke again.

We had booked the Apollo for a relaxing spa weekend. Big mistake! The spa was rubbish. The steam room was out of action, the jaccuzi didn't work, and there was no space for any decent lounger chairs. Also the bar refused to provide any ice but offered to sell us a bucket for £5! The room was OK but the...

We often stay her when visiting family in town. We know what to expect and consider the price paid good value for money. It is convenient if travelling by car, being situate just off the ring road. Whilst we recognise that the building could do with some investment, we did note that there is a redecoration programme in progress. Staff...
