Stayed at the abbey hotel for a couple of days. It was everything we needed, warm, comfortable, friendly host and staff, comfy beds, substantial breakfast, clean, free parking, close to restaurants and shops, good value for money, accommodating when we had to arrive quite late, old building full of character. We normally stay in a premier inn when visiting family...

We stayed at The Abbey Hotel for 2 nights, 15th and 16th May. Our room was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. Our host was very pleasant and helpful along with the other staff we met and the breakfast was very tasty and generous. Overall we would recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning. The location was very...

Good value for such a good location for all the amenities of Tewkesbury. Very close to the Abbey, the river, and the Leisure Centre. Room Number 6 was clean and tidy, and the bed was really comfortable; overlooked the breakfast room and restaurant but with surprisingly little noise late at night. Parking can be a bit tight but that is...

We knew that this hotel wouldn't be 5 star, but it was centrally located, clean and adequate for our 2-night stay. It's an old building, basically furnished, with bathrooms and bedrooms with squeaky floorboards! The double glazed windows kept out the sound of passing traffic and the Abbey bells chiming the hours (and quarter and half hours!). Breakfast was basic,...

This is a very basic hotel although the rooms and bedding were clean and the breakfast was good it really needs refurbishing. Our room had no furniture with drawers to put clothes therefore we had everything on a shelf with the kettle and tea tray also there was no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries so they were on the...

We wanted a weekend away to celebrate a big birthday. The website warned that the car park was not easy to find, but we found it straight away, nice and central so we left the car there and walked to everything we wanted to see in Tewkesbury. We had a warm welcome from the owner, the staff were friendly and...

Abbey hotel is a lovely cozy hotel with friendly staff and a hearty breakfast. We would stay again if passing that way. Lorna has a nice place. The abbey is a short walk away plus local shops pubs etc.

Unfortunately the room I was given was nothing like those pictured on the website. The hotel is an old building but is badly in need to a coat of paint and an upgrade. The electric shower in my bathroom had no 'start' button so I had to push a plastic spigot to get it to work. There was a write...

We went for a smaller double en suite on the second floor, as it was only £63 for B&B. The landlady was incredibly friendly and chatty on our arrival and showed us up to our room. This is a very old building and admittedly, the decor is rather tired in places, but it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It's...
