Brief review...disgusting! Rude and surly reception staff, dusty furniture, dirty bedding, bare patches in carpets. The 7.30 evening meal didn't happen as the barman (acting Restaurant manager, acting part time manager) had no record of our order "in the book", the book which the reception staff were supposed to pass to him. However, numerous people "in the book" were also...

Customers comments are great for us when they are constructive and helpful, we take them as an opportunity to improve our standards. However on your comments, I feel I must comment your behaviour during your stay. Unfortunately, your attitude towards our staff on duty was unacceptable & of a threatening nature. Rest I will leave the opinion of the hotel...

Arrived at the hotel exterior not so impressive, once inside the reception area was lovely, we stayed in room 37 it was a pleasant room with a comfy bed, the only down sides is that there was no mirror in the bedroom, I improvised with the bedside table drawer as they were mirrored and put it on the dressing table,...

Very Average - Bed was too narrow and hard and there was constant floorboards creaking noise for most of the night. Exposed wires where the shaving light should have been. I was in a twin Room (no. 59) which was like a maize to find ! We arrived back to the Hotel on Saturday night at around 10.30 pm for...

We held our wedding reception at The Falstaff 22 years ago, and like we've done for several years, we've celebrated our anniversary by going out and then staying overnight at The Falstaff in the honeymoon suite. I phoned to enquire about availability for this year (9th April) and found out it was not part of the Best Western Group anymore,...

This hotel is no longer a Best Western as advertised on Trip Advisor and Booking.com; it still uses the Best Western brand on its answer phone. The outside is shabby and we missed it driving past on the main road as it looked closed. When we found out it wasn't a Best Western, having seen our rooms, they refused citing...

BEST WESTERN SIGNS NO LONGER THERE!! It took me ages to find this place as I was looking for the usual BW signs. I stayed here on night of 24th Feb. Checked in late. Went to room after a very long drive from Scotland. Had a bath and saw what looked like blood on tiled wall above taps. Also extremely...

Booked with Groupon for £45 bed and breakfast, didn't make breakfast though.....Hotel has its own unique style, you will see what I mean if you stay there. One friendly receptionist and one sat next to her very stern looking. Room was fine, big TV, all the essentials, tea, coffee , hairdryer, wardrobe. En suite was ok but tired looking and...

We booked the room and asked for confirmation, Isabelle said she send it later, after five phone calls, with Isabelle being incredibly rude, I got someone else who said they'd send it. Clearly this was once a stylish and well appointed hotel. Now looking tired and in need of a fair amount of TLC. The staff need better training and in most cases an attitude transplant. Their command of English is not the best and it would be nice if they didn't make you feel that you were an inconvenience. Having said...
