What a charming old manor, tastefully upgraded to allow for modern comfort without losing a bit of charm. From the moment we were warmly greeted to the moment we left, we felt comforted and cared for. The service was always impeccable during our two night stay, fromthe dinner to the breakfasts to coffee served In the living room by the...

A free upgrade always starts the visit off well. We were upgraded to the Gilbert Chastelyne room in the main part of the hotel. This dates back to 1354, and the feeling is one of awe. The room we were in was built around 1354, and was large, warm, furnished with antique furniture and a four poster bed. A modern...

I spent 5 nights at Charingworth Manor on my recent visit to the Cotswolds. The manor house is beautiful and the grounds are well-kept. The hotel is a few miles outside of Chipping Campden, so requires a car ride to get into town. I was upgraded to the Blockley Suite, a 2-room suite on the second floor of the annex...

We enjoyed this stopover on the road between Manchester and Brussels. Clearly a very nice region and place. Service was nice overall, although the person who appears to be the owner seem more focused on walking his dogs than welcoming his guests, which is hardly acceptable for anyone in this business. Internal decoration is clumsy (furniture, lighting, fabrics), which is...

Stunning location, beautiful building, friendly staff. Absolutely perfect for a quiet night away. The rooms are clean, bright & airy. Worth upgrading to a superior, we had our own patio area. If the weather had been better we would have asked for our breakfast on the patio

We had afternoon tea for 5 in the drawing room it was excellent. Service and food was perfect, as was the champagne. The views are stunning in the garden as well. The tea also came with strawberries and chocolate doping sauce, which is a nice touch and guess all with champagne. We also asked for some extra sandwiches and tea,...

This hotel is situated in a lovely area, with lovely gardens and in a characterful old house. We had an enjoyable stay, a nice clean room (in the main hotel) with period furniture. Our room was perfectly OK but looked a little tired. The main problem was, as in most old buildings, there is no sound proofing so lots of...

Wonderful setting far off the road so the best nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel. Room the perfect temperature (usually hotels are too hot I find). Fantastic dinner and breakfast, and I admit I am picky! Sat in the drawing room reading a book and sipping a mint tea made with fresh mint, while the other half...
