Stayed in a room on the mezzanine level and it backs onto a major building site. This meant the noise started at 5am with bin men emptying a bottle bank. Couldn't get breakfast as we queued up for 20 mins before giving up. The staff were apologetic but they had booked a wedding fayer which took up half of the...

Stayed at the Midland last week with a friend. Unfortunately we were there for an exam. Wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was grand and beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and roomy. Did not get to try the restaurants this time around. Hopefully on my next trip.

We have stayed here on umpteen occasions over the last 30 years with the hotel under many managers and a few owners. However, without going into lots of details I now feel that 'The Midland is back' Everything was first class especially the staff, all of which were extremely pleasant and efficient. Everyone was particularly helpful just how it used...

Beautiful hotel with lovely, welcoming reception area and staff. Room was a good size with separate dressing area. We'd booked a family room but there was no single bed made up. Called Reception and they rectified it straight away. Lovely room with a good view and quiet as we were on the third floor. Bathroom was clean, plenty of towels...

It was approx 5 min walk to the arndale and shops and some great restaurants to eat. Browns and the burger and lobster being two places that I would recommend. The spa treatment was lovely...
