Have you ever been to look at a house where the estate agent told you one of the bedrooms is a double? But you know that means you will get a double bed in there if you don't have any wardrobes, drawers, open a window or even stand in there yourself? That's what room 528 is like in this hotel....

From our initial greeting on reception every staff member was pleasant, efficient and helpful. We had a very comfortable stay. The food was excellent. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Manchester.

Rooms are not large but very clean, tidy and good showers en-suite, all the usual facilities including free wifi. Reception and hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, food and service in bistro was very good and the breakfast choice of continental and cooked food was excellent.

My daughter and I stayed here for one night when visiting Manchester University. Well located for the University and city centre. The staff were brilliant. Really friendly and extremely helpful. The room was a little dated but clean. One comment is that we were located on an outside corner of the hotel near the A57M and could hear it from...

Bit like a travel lodge from circa 2000. It was ok. Not wheelchair friendly (lots of narrow corridors) and the breakfast wasn't great for 8.95. Close to Charles street multi storey (£10 per day) and in a central location. I think the ibis next door might be a nicer option.

I'd like to personally thank this gentleman for absolutely attentive service, this man goes above and beyond expected, never met anyone so Attentive, he is worth more than this hotel and if he's ignored and it is unnoticed then i believe he deserves a higher position and appreciated more, the heart of this hotel

Short one day stay. Good, clean hotel. Very good wifi reception - able to transfer a lot of data. Cellphone range in my room "challenging", better close to window. Good service at reception desk. OK stay.

Stayed her for one night at the start of February. Rooms are a bit on the small size but that wasn't a problem as we spent most of the day out in Manchester. Food was good value but the redeeming quality and the reason why we'd return is the staff. Everyone from the reception staff, cleaners and the waitresses in...

Very helpful reception, Early book in available at small charge but was allowed to leave luggage until normal book in time. Same when we left, stored luggage until train time. Clean and pleasant room, excellent breakfast. 10 minute walk from Piccadilly station and city centre. Will use this hotel again.
