On arrival we was very disappointed with what we had booked, the lady who booked us in was really nice she explained to us if we was in after 12pm we had to use the back door which she showed us an explained about the key pad to get in. She then took us upstairs to are rooms going up...

Chose this place for convenient walking distance from mainline station. Looked like a traditional pub hotel, but it is in a run down area of noisy traffic, blaring music from clubs, people yelling in the street well into the early hours, as well as thumping music from the bar downstairs. Shared bathroom worked OK for me but was not reflected...

Moretti a bit pricey (£5) given backstreet location. Was hoping for a more traditional pub feel given excellent exterior but inside feels more like a wetherspoons. There was a dog in who was nice and very friendly, bonus points scored if the dog is a regular feature.

We used booking.com to book a room and there is no mention of having a shared bathroom if we had known we would not have wasted our money booking this. There are brew making facilities in the room but no water so you have to make a trip to the bathroom for water, which after checking in and being shown...

You get what you pay for is my motto. And this is one of those, no more no less experiences. Don't get me wrong, I like the place. Nice staff, great English breakfast, perfect location and exactly what you can expect from a pub with rooms on top. It's really noisy on weekends after dark so don't bring sensitive ears....

It sits in the middle of the Northern Quarter, so there's a fair bit of noise from revellers and traffic, however that suited me. The pub downstairs was fairly typical, not expensive and had a few different ales on as well as the usual stuff. The twin room I had was perfectly serviceable, wardrobe and drawers, tea & coffee, and...

Was overcharged by over £2 first. Questioned the price. It was put right. But then ordered a martini Rosso which they insisted was a 25ml measure. Fortified wines are always served at 50ml for a measure. 1st visit here in a longtime... probably last visit too.

Actually, there are several reasons this place is cheap. Poky room, shared bathroom and toilet, single glazing, noisy junction, noisy club over the road, poor window blinds and constant street light, slightly tatty bedding... At 35 quid per night I didn't expect the Savoy, but what little sleep I did get was really poor and made my day very difficult....

Cheapish but not at all cheerful. £16 for two lunches. Poor food great beer. The pub is tatty and staff indifferent. Sadly Wetherspoons are soooo much better at this style of hospitality. For a northern quarter pub this pjace needs to try harder or it will fail.

Stayed one night. Room small( 8feet by 3 feet). Bathroom shared but that did not bother me except a lady guest laid siege to the toilet for 40 MINUTES at 6:30 am in the morning. Not a huge problem and moved to a different floor but no matter how hard I tried, there was no hot water for the shower....
