Overnight stay after a concert in Manchester. Well lit and spacious corridors, small but clean rooms, fantastic breakfast in a lovely annex. Didn't experience dinner or have much of a look round the property. Perfect for an overnight stay but maybe too small for a longer stay. Enjoyed, thank you.

My second stay here. Very handy location to rest your head if you need to visit Manchester uni. Club sandwich and chips in the restaurant was delicious. Exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to coming back again once the renovations are complete. Staff are welcoming and helpful

It's having a 4 million upgrade in the next months but that's no excuse for the dirty rooms... Rooms have little space for child cot, pram storage. Not child friendly. We found nut shells on the floor which was not good for my 20 month year old toddler, general grubby standard of cleaning and when we left we found someone... More

Stayed at the Chancellor whilst on a conference. No apologies from reception staff for building work and refurbishing of rooms taking place. So in the morning the noise of building work appeared to become the expected norm for 8.30am. My room was on the first floor. It was small,(compact) but compared to those on the ground floor it was luxury.... More

I came here for a friend's wedding in September and it's a cute little hotel situated in the student area of Fallowfield. It's about a half an hour walk from the local train station. I will admit I got a little lost trying to find it as I thought I'd wandered onto the student campus but the local security were... More

Had one of the worst nights sleep at this hotel. The rooms are small and cramped, heating is by radiator which can be turned off but unfortunately the super heated pipes supplying it can't so room very hot. Was woken in early hours by rain making a hell of a noise in the boxing by the side of window. The... More

Found this hotel online while trying to arrange a night out. Very reasonable rates. Single rooms were functional, clean and warm with good (powerful) showers. Location is at the far end of rusholme and surprisingly quiet - not too far from town. Staff were friendly, especially George, who let us in late at night, and very kindly opened the bar... More

fantastic wedding last week-end. The gardens are wonderful, the food was good and the staff excellent. Yes, the venue needs refurbishing and this is happening before the end of the year but the plusses far outweigh the need for a refurbishment.

The hotel is in a great setting, with beautiful gardens. Conference rooms are fine, breakfast good. Dinner was disappointing: my risotto (mushroom: they obviously bought in bulk as mushrooms featured prominently at every meal!) was solid and lumpy - I'd probably advise going elsewhere for an important meal. My main concern was my room. The sense I have is that... More

Was here on a work conference. There's really not much good to be said for this place. Good points: cooked breakfast dinner, if a bit pricey for what it was bed was comfy nice gardens that there are refurbishment plans afoot Bad points: lamb at lunch was really tough the whole place is really tatty showers where you have to...
