Was very quiet and didn't hear a thing throughout the night which was good, the rooms where nice and warm. The girl at reception was very helpful and nice made is aware of everything and helped us as we...

Booked for 1 night, got into the hotel it is run down and dirty. Completely different from the pictures (which are not the best anyway). Asked to see the room before I paid. It was a tiny room with a double bed in and very dirty. Bathroom was disgusting! Window Cill cracked in half. Ended up walking out and cancelling...

First off they got the order wrong. Asked for garlic sautes and got plain old chips. Aside from that food was pretty basic but decent enough. When it came time for dessert our plates were cleared and the waiter cleared off too. Didn't come near us for at least 30mins and only managed to placed our order with the grumpy...

I was sent here from another hotel that had double booked me and what a mistake!! I must look dodgy cos the owner followed me everywhere. Do not stay here I only stayed cos I was sent and it was late! The owner seemed concerned that you may bring a takeaway back but in my opinion this would have made...

This hotel does rank itself as a budget hotel but quite honestly it is the worst hotel I have ever set foot in! There is a notice on the bathroom door asking guests to run the hot water for 15 mins before contacting reception to report any problems!!! I didn't want to put my bare feet on the floor so...

I realise the Lansdowne is a budget hotel but I've stayed in other budget hotels in the area (e.g. the Wilmslow Hotel 2 doors down the road) and have not had anywhere near such a negative experience. I was particularly shocked by the shabbiness of the furniture, decor and 'amenities; e.g. peeling cheap furniture and broken table legs, non-existent bed-springs,...

I have been staying at the Landsdowne for quite a few years now on and off as part of my job as lecturer at Manchester Met University. The hotel is very good value for money, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend the Landsdowne to anyone thinking of staying.
