Let's start with the plusses: The staff is very friendly and offer good service, the location is very good and even though there was a small issue with the bill, this was picked up and corrected quickly.

But there were also a few downsides, the biggest one being that we got a very small room. From the emergency floor plan it looked as though we had the smallest room on the first floor. And I know the French have a thing for tiny hotelrooms, but I had hoped for a bit more after seeing the pictures.

Another thing was that the breakfast room is not COVID-proof. I understand that it's a small space, but the staff does nothing to make sure that people keep their distance or wear their masks.

I only stayed here for one night and that was fine. They have parking (though be careful if you've got a big car) and I didn't need much more than a bed and shower. But if I would stay here for longer I'd choose another place.

Dear Guest, We thank you for taking the time to leave this comment following your stay at the Diana Dauphine Hotel. We are sorry to read that your stay did not live up to your expectations. As you mentioned, our location very close to the city center is perfect for our guests to enjoy our lovely alsacian capital by foot. Our Front Desk is open 24/7 to ensure we can answer any questions our guests might have during their stay at any time. Regarding your room, it would have been greatly appreciated if you could have let us know this directly after your check-in so that we could have switch you to a bigger room. We follow very strict procedures because of the Covid and make sure that everything is respected, such as the social distancing (we only have one table available every two tables at the breakfast). We hope to be able to welcome you again at the Diana Dauphine Hotel so that we can change your mind about this first impression. Best regards, Jonathan Wanner Front Desk Manager

Rooms are nicely decorated, stylish design, as well as the bathroom.
The bed comfy, however the pillow could be a lil more comfy, it was too bulky for my taste, still a good night sleep since our room was located in the back of the yard, very quiet.
i loved the toiletries from Nuxe (milk and honey) and the morning coffee that i prepared myself was very good.

Good experience, would stay here again, totally recommend it!

Everything went as expected hotel was just what I expected the staff very friends room very nice, I was in the front of the hotel and there are passing trams however this was not an issue, parking garage worth every penny.
Short stroll into the centre, pleased I’ve booked hotel again for my return journey.
There is a Coffin lift up from the garage so anyone with claustrophobia should maybe take the stairs but don’t let this put anyone off.

This hotel is located on the tram line which is convenient for transportation. Our room had a very nice bathroom with a great shower, but the issue with the room is the dark green/grey walls made the small room seem even smaller and the lighting in the room was VERY minimal. On top of that, the room had 2 STEPS in it making it very dangerous. The door to the room and bathroom were on one level, then you take two steps down into the area where the bed, television, desk and closet are. If you have to get up in the middle of the night to use the WC, you could trip up or down the stairs and really hurt yourself. I've never seen steps in a hotel room before and can not believe that it could be permitted. There are no nightlights in the room either. We did not eat at the restaurant, so we can not comment on the food.

Dear Guest, We thank you for leaving this review after your stay at the hotel Diana Dauphine. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed our location, a few minutes by foot only from the city center and transportations as well as our rooms that were all fully renovated recently in a modern & design fashion. We are however sorry that the room itself did not live up to your expectations. We inform you that we have different wall colors on every floor and that, by simply letting us know about this inconvenience, we could have offered you to change to a room more of your taste. Furthermore, we have never had any injury (fingers crossed) caused by the stairs in some of our rooms. Your feedback is duly noted and will be passed to our managerial team to see if there is something we can do to make them safer. We hope that you will give us a chance to change your mind about our hotel by coming back for a future stay. Best regards, Jonathan Front Desk Manager

It was our second stay and we were as happy as the last time. The hotel is very central, so you can reach the central island in 5 minutes, but it's also next to the tram stop, so the whole of Strasbourg is easily accessible. It's clean, very nice, and the staff is extremely helpful

We chose this hotel because of its parking garages. As we arrived there, It took me more than 20minutes to take my car down in the -2 underground slot I was assigned. Very steep slopes, very tight corners. If you travel with a car higher than 1.8m then forget it anyway. And you pay 20€ a night for that adventure.
Once there we had a nice room and nothing more. WLAN connection was very poor on 4th floor and Breakfast was impersonal. No contact to staff in any ways.
So we left taking another 20min to get out with the car and without having really felt welcome at any time. Very anonymous hotel with no personality of any kind.

Dear Guest, We greatly appreciate that you took the time to share your impressions following your recent experience at Diana Dauphine, but we are really sorry to read that your stay in our hotel didn’t reach your expectations. The Parking is indeed a little narrow, but this is the reason why we ask our guests to provide us with the brand and the model of their car to assign them a parking space which will fit their car. The price of twenty euro per night may appear a little expensive but in comparison to the price of the parking in the streets around the hotel (thirty-five euros for four hours), it is rather suitable. We are pleased to note that you liked your room, but we are very sorry that you experienced a bad WIFI connection. We were struggling to solve the problem and this is today the case. Our staff is constantly at our guests disposal. We try to do our best to satisfy them in every possible aspects and we are really sorry that you didn’t feel it that way. Be assured that we took good note of your comment. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the hotel for a future stay in Strasbourg. Best Regards, Claire Jaeckel Hotel Manager

This is one of the most underwhelming hotels I have stayed in. Pro’s: location is on tramline and a close walk to attractions. Staff were accommodating and the breakfast is good. Cons: if your room faces the street it is incredibly loud. Bring earplugs. Horns, tram, screaming. Pillows are hard, no plug anywhere near the bed to charge a phone. Dim lights/no overhead light. The room was painted very dark/no pictures on walls. Not cheerful at all. The hallway was red and looked like a toddler painted it. There were nice touches like a free chocolate but this place misses the mark.

Dear Guest, We thank you for taking the time to leave this review following your stay at the hotel Diana Dauphine. We are pleased that you enjoyed our location, a few minutes by foot only from the city center of Strasbourg as well as our staff who is at your disposal 24/7 at the Front Desk to answer any question you may have during your stay. We are sorry to learn only now that it did not fulfil your expectations. First of all, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outside noise, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for all our guests. External disturbances can be challenging to fully control, but we are continuously working to minimize such inconveniences. We regret to note that you did not inform our reception team of the issues you encountered during your stay. We would have been pleased to provide an immediate solution by offering a room more in line with your expectations, such as one facing the courtyard, upon a simple request from your side. Unfortunately, at this point, there is nothing more we can do. Nevertheless, we want to inform you that we have upcoming plans to enhance our guest experience. While online reviews can be helpful in sharing experiences, we believe it is generally wiser to communicate directly with the establishment to address any issues during your stay. This allows for a faster and more accurate resolution, while giving the establishment the opportunity to improve for the well-being of all guests. We sincerely hope that you will give us a chance to change your mind about our hotel through a future stay. Best regards, Jonathan Wanner Hotel Manager

This is a lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very good. There was an extra bonus of being able to park directly outside the hotel for free.
The restaurant was small, but the breakfast selection was good.

Such a nice hotel, classic European. Was welcoming, helpful, tidy, attractive, clean, and pleasant. Also extremely handy for the bus stop down at Place Etoile. We loved walking up to cafes for breakfast, and also there's a very good supermarket right across the street. Strongly recommend.
