Bern staying here for 24 years almost every month and it has not always been great, but it was okay. Tonight is my last night there and tomorrow the hotel will close for eight months and rise with a new name in 2018.

Strasbourg is VERY expensive. Having said that, the Hotel du Rhin is one of the less costly options in this city, and all right for what it is - a slightly dated, but otherwise clean and convenient place to stay if you are spending the weekend in Strasbourg. None too cheap, but still one of the cheapest ones. Conveniently located...

Nice little hotel, in an old building (historical town center). The rooms are a bit small but cozy. The furniture and decoration materials are not new but are functional. The mattresses were excellent. The free wifi works best close to the reception. Our room was at the 4th floor so, no internet in the room. The best quality of the...

Positive: Great location, close to the train station and to restaurants, bars etc. Free wifi. Friendly staff. Negative: Low standard hotel, rooms not renovated last 30 (?) years, hole in the ceiling in my room, narrow bed, shower without much water... :) Think of the typical London hotel... ;)

Nice staff, but things are worn out and badly maintained. The firedoors - if there - forced open. The free WiFi only works in bits and pieces approx 20% of the time, raw concrete walls painted in bright green in the hallways when the wallpaper came down. A few renovated rooms (no luxury), some not renovated rooms (disgusting). But cheap...

This hotel offers the minimum. However, it has two excellent features from my point of view: it is located at place de la Gare and I usually disembark there at around midnight, and I have always been welcome, even if the reservation is made at the very last minute. The premises are clean, the staff friendly, the price reasonable. There...

The hotel is situated directly at the central station. The rooms are nice, cosy and clean. The TV always works, you also have WIFI in the rooms and it always works, too. There are a lot of nice brasseries, cafés etc. around the corner. The people working there are really nice and friendly.

If you're travelling to Strasbourg by train the Hotel du Rhin is mega convenient, lying across the green from the main railway station. We were a largish group, visiting the city for the Christmas markets and some of Strasbourg's cultural offerings, of which there are plenty to choose from. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the cathedral, and in...

Strasbourg is the kind of place where finding decent accommodation would be a full time job, like Lyon. If it exists, it isn't here. The Hotel du Rhin is the kind of place where you daren't touch the walls, sit on the loo, or take off your clothes to sleep. Pay extra and get a 3 or 4 star is...

Cheap and cheerful, perfect for business. Good location, across from the main train station in Strasbourg. Courteous staff who were helpful with directions and spoke numerous languages. Breakfast was only okay.
