We spent several days at another hotel on the other side of Strasbourg, then spent several days in Colmar, then several more in Interlaken, Switzerland. This hotel was my favorite of all the places we stayed. The decor is beautiful and the staff is exceptional. Our room, Chambre 7, overlooked the courtyard and, though we could hear music and activity...

Our trip from Frankfurt to Luxembourg and through Alsace and finally to Heidelberg, allowed us to sample new hotels along the way. Hotel Le Bouclier d'Or was by far our favorite! Located in adorable Petite France and within walking distance to the Cathedral, shopping, and restaurants, this boutique hotel was a wonderful experience. Not knowing where to park our rental,...

Well, I don't claim to have the last word in authenticity, but I definitely felt like I was on vacation here. I absolutely loved the spa (it's included with your room booking btw) and it was the first place I stayed on my entire eurotrip that had a hot tub. The classic interior made me feel like I was staying...

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the courtyard by a cheerful valet who took our car for parking nearby. The property is absolutely charming, from the sunny breakfast room to the richly decorated lobby and bar, to our elegant room that overlooked a small cobbled street. The center patio area is pretty...

This hotel is perfect. Clean, stylish, appealing, warm, welcoming. The bar serves great drinks and small eats in the afternoon. Room service available and is fairly good. Breakfast was the only thing that didn't feel quite up to snuff, but that's more our preference for hot breakfast items-- Europeans will likely love the selection. Service is excellent, spa is beautiful,...

We adored our stay at Le Bouclier d'Or during the Christmas Market season in Strasbourg. This delightful hotel is well-situated in an enchanting part of town, near all the key sites and the Christmas Markets. Our Alsatian Room - with it's beamed ceilings and large, modern bathroom - was charming, comfortable, well laid out and included all the necessary amenities....

Right in Petit France, this hotel is close to everything you want to see in Strasbourg. Breakfast is ample and tasty but not huge. Filled with dessert-type food. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I feel it only fair to mention that the family room is best suited to those with small children. The main room is great (small windows...

This is our second time in Strasbourg and our first time in this hotel. We choose this hotel because of its location in Petite France and it was perfect for the Christmas markets. The hotel is near shops, restaurants, Christmas markets, etc. yet quiet and the hotel itself is charming which reflects the town itself. We were upgraded to a...

Hotel has a perfect location to visit the Christmas market. Staff extremely friendly. Hotel itself is very nice when you are not looking for the grandiose 5 star hotel. Clean and neat. It's a 16th century building that fits well in the surrounding.
