We have stayed at Le Bouclier d'Or twice and each time we are sorry we have to leave. This hotel has no equal. Strasbourg is a very romantic city & this Hotel only adds to the magic. The proprietors Mr. & Mrs. Jung, operate a superior hotel in every sense of the word. Their staff is unsurpassed in their attention...

The hotel is very well located, right in the old town and just a few steps from Petit France. It is in a lovely old building, with the public spaces tastefully restored. I walked round the lounge areas to admire the beautiful furnishings. We loved our “Bourgeois” superior room which was luxurious, spacious, clean and quiet. (There is another type...

This is a very nice hotel that has a number of spa services that one doesn’t find in many places we have travelled. The place is plush and the room we had took up a good portion of the top floor of one wing. It wasn’t huge, but it was comfortable with nice views of the city. One of the...

Plenty of character in the centre of the old town. Lovely room, although a wash basin in the separate toilet would be good. An excellent breakfast and lovely staff, especially the delightful Fleur on reception whose sole aim seems to be to foresee and cater for your every demand. will happily return.

Beautiful, immaculate hotel, in the most perfect location for exploring Strasbourg on foot. Hotel staff is all topnotch, friendly, knowledgeable, and go out of their way to assist. My room was elegant, generous sized bedroom and bathroom was huge with a great rain-shower. We stayed for 2 amazing nights, I hope to return soon.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay with our teen and adult sons. The room was newly renovated and was a spacious room with a loft which gave us space and privacy. The bathroom was wonderful and what you would expect from a spa hotel. The room is filled with beautiful antiques and paintings. The unexpected amenities such as...

Stayed in this wonderful hotel on one of my many visits to Strasbourg. What a wonderful place to stay. Came with a car and it was so easy to drive there. I recommend this hotel for staying close to Strasbourg. La Petite Venise is right across the canal from the hotel. The hotel is lovely and clean. The staff are...

Luxury hotel chains don't exist in Strasbourg.. And if you want to be in the Petite France area (which you should), then accommodation options are limited. I knew this before booking this hotel so I was prepared for what to expect. The location of the hotel is fantastic. In a quaint street with many shops and restaurants close by. The...
