Clean air-conditioned bedroom, clean, functioning bathroom. Quiet, relaxed hotel, convenient for restaurants and historic sites in the heart of Bordeaux city. Amiable and helpful receptionists. A short walk to the tram for the railway station, where you can catch the airport bus. There is free wifi.

Perfect location right on the river and the city. The room was comfortable, although the bathroom was very small. Staff were helpful and friendly. We opted for the continental breakfast each morning which was a buffet style, and was enough to fill us up for a day's sight seeing. Due to location right in the heart of the city, you... More

My wife and I stayed at the Acanthe hotel on Friday 10th June 2016. The following morning we had a train booked to Biarritz. We heard there was a strike that effected trains, buses and trams. A friend told me he was taking a taxi to the station early to find a train because of this strike. My wife and... More

The location is really nice, right at the main pedestrian street in the city center and behind Place de la Bourse. The room was comfortable and had a small balcony. Due to the central location, it may be a bit noisy late in the night, but it did not bother me. The decoration is "retro" :) Breakfast was not included,... More

For the price, we thought this was a great place to stay. The hotel and our room were very clean and we could easily get around all we wanted to see on foot, with the tram also being close by if you wanted to go a little further out. Staff were knowledgeable in answering our questions. There's a small self-service... More

We stayed in this hotel in a recent visit to Bordeaux. Indeed, the hotel is in excellent location. It is five minutes' walk from Pool of Reflection. The street where the hotel is located has lots of restaurant around. This is the positive thing. The breakfast is OK, but not perfect. Here comes the list of negative issues. First, you... More

We booked a room without AirCon but despite the heat couldn't sleep with the windows open due to people using the bottle recycling bin outside the front of the hotel throughout the night. The hotel was great apart from that with a good location and pleasant breakfast. One receptionist was a bit haughty and rude but that was just pretty... More

Lovely hotel, superb location near Place de la Bourse and the Miroir d'Eau. The friendly staff speak a number of languages. Bedrooms are nicely furnished and well maintained. The breakfast room although small is well managed.

The room was clean, quiet, the bathroom updated, squeaky floors which were not a problem given the limited time in the room. it was very centrally located, close to tram, and centre of sights. Lots of eateries within walking distance. Luc speaks English well and works at being accommodating, and flexible.

The hotel is in a great location for access to the heart of Bordeaux on foot. Pay close attention to the parking directions if coming by car as you CANNOT pull up to the hotel. The manager and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They were great about helping with reservations and things to do. The rooms are basic by... More
