Arrived Monday afternoon after pre booking a suite. Hotel fully booked. Reception friendly and efficient. Suite turned out to be an enlarged handicapped room. Very comfortable bed and good size bathroom, as you would expect. Ordered some champagne as an appetizer on the front terrace in the late afternoon sun; lovely! Dinner was ok but maybe going with the daily menu wasn’t our best choice. Preparation was very good and the meal was tasty with a starter and a dessert buffet of very good quality. Slept very well, very good beds, one of the main requirements of a hotel, and had breakfast with a surprisingly good breakfast buffet, the best we had in France outside of 4 and 5*! All in all a very good experience and heartily recommended. If we come back this way, le Provencal will be our hotel of choice!

Couldn't fault the hotel. It was functional, basic, the rooms were small. Staff spoke English and were able to facilitate us with a cot. The breakfast was good, great selection of hot and cold food until 10am. It's in Bordeaux Lac area, which seems like a business district, not much around but hotels and the lake itself.

Spent 3 nights at this hotel situated by the Bordeaux Lac. From the moment I arrived, I found the staff extremely friendly and took the time to explain how to get to the centre of the City using the frequent tram service. The room was clean and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean, well appointed with a hairdryer and and soap. The buffet style breakfast bar was well stocked with hot and cold foods. Had two evening dinners all well cooked and enjoyable. The hotel is not 5 star but the staff could not do enough to ensure the stay was a pleasant one. I would certainly return.
