Loved this hotel and I would definitely stay here again. Tucked in a side street in the heart of Bordeaux it's location was perfect. Our twin room was compact but big enough for us and our shopping! Beds were comfortable. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the bathroom configuration which was a little cramped but...

Two day visit, pretty basic hotel but comfortable & all amenities worked & worked well. Decent €8 breakfast. Centrally located, easy access to the airport & cultural centre of the city. No lift so it's a slog if you're on the upper levels, a minor niggle for me, might be more important for others.

Hotel de France is a quite simple hotel with probably the smallest room I've ever stayed at. But it was clean, the hosts were really friendly, and the location is perfect. We didn't order breakfast (why would you in a city like Bordeaux with café's and lunch places on all corners and in between?). Beds could've been a bit softer,...

Well located. Clean. Reasonably priced. If you have a big bag, the second floor is a long way up!!! Good to be in an area close, but not too noisy. The bed was hard, but for France that is not strange. Didn't try breakfast, as we ate out. Good value.

Charming little hotel right in the center of Bordeaux, close to everything needed. Stayed there for only one night, my room was very small, but there wasn't nothing to complain about. Big bed. Breakfast was very good without ham however. Very helpful young man in the reception, who helped with luggage.

A perfect location in the city center, you can easily walk everywhere. The staff is very helpfull and they will heapily answer your questions. There are smaller and bigger rooms and the beds are comfortable. Last but not least: the breakfast is nice!

The Bordeaux Opera Nationale area is marvelous - as my young friends used to say, it is a happening place. Hotels are few and pricey. Hotel de France has the location and modest prices. But there is a "price" for this. The rooms are tiny, tiny, tiny - I'm talking "squeeze around the edges of the bed on all sides"...

Great location, in the beautiful center of Bordeaux: close to major attractions, transit, tourist information, restaurants, shops, entertainment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room, comfortable bed. Attractive breakfast room. Very good breakfast. No elevator.

Nice basic hotel, just does breakfasts, no other meals, but everything you want is there. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good to fine somewhere so central that doesn't cost the earth. Would definitely stay there again.
