The staff running this was very nice and had taken our request for a room with no carpet or feather pillows into consideration. In fact, we got the the sense that they had given the room an extra once-over, because when after one night we asked if it would be possible to change to a room with a window giving...

Have just stayed here for three nights. Lovely little family owned hotel. Decent sized rooms. Comfy bed good pillows. Bathroom small but nice and clean and a decent shower screen. Also a hair dryer --thank god as mine bit the dust. It's been in the family as far back as 1971 when I stayed here. You can see the sea...

This is a lovely little hotel in an excellent location (stone's throw from the beach) and near quite a few good restaurants, bars, and cafes. Very clean, stylish rooms, and ours had a cute balcony that opened right up to the street. The lady who was at the front desk didn't seem to speak any English, but everything was well-taken...

My three girlfriends and I were so pleased with this lovely hotel. It's a stone's throw away from the beach, the owners were so kind and the rooms were refreshingly clean. There are also some cute cafes, restaurants and bars right outside the hotel. It'll be my go to spot for Birarritz as it was easy on my wallet as...

As a group of 6, we took a family room (sleeps 4) and a double room at Hotel Palym. It was absolutely perfect. The location can't be beaten - you can see the sea from the front door, and it is equally right in the centre of town with all the shops, restaurants and bars right there. The owners were...

Hotel Palym is the place to stay in Biarritz, yes you can get something more expensive but not better value for money and personal. The hotel is now being upgraded and is even better. The owner Mr Bernard and his family is just fantastic. Our family of 5 can warmly recommend it. Christian

Two words describe this hotel: Fleabag joint. If your only need is a roof over your head and you don’t mind a sloping rust-stained floor or sharing a towel with your room mate, this hotel might be bearable. If your tastes are backpacker, the heaving bar downstairs means you may even enjoy it. But if you have come to Biarritz...

I stayed one night in the cheapest room of this hotel; very clean, spacy, comfortable beds, friendly staff. moreover, it is located between the 2 surfing beaches, only a few meters from the beach. definitely more than you would have expected! I hope to return there soon as I can just recommend this budget hotel.

I stayed in the palym hotel for two nights in may 2006, I found it in the Lonely Planet guidebook. The hotel room was bright and clean and fairly big. Really impressed with the bathroom, very small but clean and new shower. Rooms were cleaned every day and given clean towels. Hotel staff were very friendly. Really good hotel for...

I am taking this opportunity to advise all would be "budget travellers" to Biarritz of the Palm Hotel in the old port area of this beautiful seaside town. The town itself is enchanting and exudes an aura of chic glitz (casino, 5* hotels, Napoleonic Palaces, breathtaking mansions, fantastic beaches) yet can be enjoyed without it having to cost an arm...
