This is a small site with excellent facilities and is immaculately clean. We soon realised that a large number of campers on site had stayed at Manzac before. The proprietors, Margaret and Georges could not have been more welcoming and provided a personal touch that a big site couldn't hope to match. While the site is in a peaceful rural...

A beautiful campsite. Exceptionally clean (the best facilities in Europe) with lovely, friendly hosts in Margaret and Georges, who went out of their way to help us even after we had left. They produce an info sheet of the area that is just so helpful. A lovely couple and a lovely campsite. We hope to return. There is so much...

If you like your campsites small and intimate, then this might meet your expectations. Georges and Margaret are just the best hosts and go the extra mile to make your French camping experience as enjoyable as possible. The site accepts touring caravans, campers and tents. Wheeled vehicles have hard stands and tents are usually placed on terraced grass pitches served...

Hi Don, Thank you so much for your review, it is much appreciated by us both. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay on one of the two lowest tent pitches right next to the river. Mosquitoes can be a problem, but being well prepared with repellent usually solves the problem. One of the advantages of being under...

We visited Manzac again and had a warm welcome from George and Margaret who were as friendly and charming as ever. The site was full but it was still peaceful and we never had to wait to use the facilities. An added bonus this time was the use of a fridge to keep our beers chilled! We only stayed a...

This was our second stay at Manzac, and it was just as fabulous as the first, probably more so as we knew what to expect. Georges and Margaret are two of the loveliest people you could meet and they will do everything they can to make you welcome and enjoy your stay. The facilities are spotless and there is always...

It was great to welcome you back to Manzac and to meet your niece as well, we are glad that she enjoyed her stay and hopefully was able to completely relax before starting her new teaching career - we wish her lots of luck on that. Yes, you are right the owls are very chatty, obviously discussing the campers! It...

Prepare to be delighted, befriended, looked after and spoiled. George and Margaret are the most helpful and friendly hosts I have ever met. I wouldn't usually describe the people managing a campsite as 'hosts' but that's what they were. Nothing was too much trouble. Run out of wine? 3 euros a bottle - it will be horrible.... Nothing of the...

This was a peaceful piece of woodland with only 10 pitches. A beautiful spot, deep in the woods. The quiet was frequently interrupted by a variety of owls, who seemed to be having a conversation. The owners were helpful without being intrusive.

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you found Manzac so peaceful and enjoyed the owls who can be particularly vocal some nights - maybe discussing the campers? We wish you all the best with your new adventure in France and hope it all is as you want it to be - enjoy France as much as we...

This site was everything promised by both the description and reviews on this website. Peaceful and quiet? The only sounds were the owls, distant donkeys and cockerels. Clean? Probably cleaner than our own house. Spacious? Only 10 pitches anyway, and by early September we were just a handful of happy campers. Relaxing? With no play area, disco, shop or pool...
