This hotel delivers much more than meets the eye. The breakfast was varied and copious, the pool area refreshing and delightful. While the room smelled musty, after a few days there the smell was gone. Rooms were comfortble size for European standards and the location right next to a boulangerie/patisserie in front of the large Place Gambetta was nice. On...

We caught the train from Bordeaux and spent 3 nights here( a 5 min walk from the station) Doubles with breakfast are 67 euros, via Booking .com. The breakfast is excellant, quality cereal, fruit, ham , cheese and eggs you can boil yourself- well worth the 9 euros each. A nice touch is the fact that you can squeeze oranges...

We 3 friends on an annual 3 night break found the hotel to be very amenable. The staff spoke engish and were very helpful throughout the stay. The room was very clean and well maintained. There was a good choice at the buffet breakfast with a discreet and efficient dining room staff and a choice of eating outside if required....

What a surprise! A room overlooking the market square..... never heard so much as a clang during set-up - we only realised it was market day when we opened the electric shutters! Great double-glazing, and excellent, adjustable air-con and a good-sized bathroom with decent-sized shower! All for princely sum of just over 100quid for 2 nights for two people! Also...

We stayed at the hotel for one evening only en-route to our holiday home. It is a family-run hotel in which the focus is without doubt placed on ensuring client satisfaction. All the members of staff we dealt with were consistently helpful and obliging. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The pool was very...

We found the hotel staff very friendly, and very obliging whenever we had requests for our 2 1/2 yr old son. The pool/garden area is very nice. Breakfast buffet was a good, though not included in the price (9€). The hotel was in a convenient position - near the charming old town, but also not far from the train station...

We agreed with the good reports given by guests at the Hotel de Bordeaux. The Tripadvisor certicate of excellence 2012 was displayed on he reception desk. Although our room faced Place Gambetta, we were not disturbed by the Sunday morning Flea Market or the big markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings setting up outside our window. The garden area had...

We stayed here as our friends were getting married nearby. It is a good central Bergerac location. We asked for a cot which they provided, and they gave us a baby changing mat too. Our room was small, basic but clean. However the decor was dubious - rustic tissue holder anyone?! And it would have been nice to have a...

“Temperature is controlled centrally so the heating was on although it was pretty warm for April so the room was too hot for us so had to sleep with the window open which was fine as there was no noise at the back to the hotel. Room 10. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable.”
