Small hotel with great team of staff who really work hard to be welcoming and hospitable, our room was big enough, spotlessly cleaned every day, towels replaced. The pool area is such a bonus at the end of a busy day walking in the hot sun, not heated so a bit chilly ,again very clean. We didn't have a breakfast , it looked basic but could buy a coffee it would have been nice to have the facility in the room. The area is a bit run down, but location to town is good, happy to recommend this hotel

An excellent value hotel!

Rooms are clean and good size. Wi-fi was excellent.

Just a short 5 min walk into the old town

Friendly service throughout and easy check in/out

Parking was 5 euro per night and was in a secure car park on site

Would highly recommend

We stayed here for one night - a Sunday. Arrival into Bergerac was by train and the Europ'Hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the railway station in Bererac.

All of the staff we encountered spoke good English.

The room was basic but functional and clean.

We opted for breakfast the following morning and this was a typical "continental" style breakfast which was more than adequate.

There are other hotels which are closer to the historic centre of Bergerac but the Europ'Hotel is a pleasnt 10 minute walk.

Lovely hotel just north of the centre of Bergerac in a quiet residential are. 5 mins walk to station, 10 mins walk to shops, 15 mins to the old town. Great shower, separate toilet, comfy beds although pillows were a bit lumpy. Tea/coffee facilities in room. So quiet at night. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. Lovely continental breakfast - the biggest croissants I've ever seen! There is a car park and an outdoor swimming pool round the back - pool closed from Oct so not used. Paid €80 plus breakfast per night. We would stay again if we returned to Bergerac xxx

Very comfortable small hotel in the centre of Bergerac. Very hospitable host who was very helpful and spoke very good English as my schoolboy French was not up to scratch . Very comfortable room. Secure parking at rear. Good selection for breakfast.

Good location, 5 minute walk to the centre of Bergerac, easy parking. A bit old skool, but good beds, comfortable and friendly, helpful staff. Only slight annoyance was loud central heating but apart from that, all good, will stay again. Good value for the price. Swimming pool would be a nice bonus during the summer!

This hotel is a gem. We stayed for 4 nights. It is very well run and spotlessly clean. We were given a warm welcome and provided with useful local information. It's only a short walk to the old town, and also close to the train station. There is a lovely swimming pool which we enjoyed. We will certainly be returning. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel. Hence, I could not comment on that.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Europ' Hotel in August 05. The hotel is bright and clean situated in a quiet area of Bergerac. The proprietor and his family were welcoming and friendly to me, a woman travelling on her own. There is a charming pool area sheltered and quiet, perfect for catching up with the newspapers.

The railway station is 5mins away from the hotel, trains run to nearby Sarlat & Bordeaux and further afield. Bergerac is a beautiful town with weekly markets etc, shops and plenty of nearby vineyards to visit.

I would recommend the Europ' Hotel as a good base for travelling around the region.

We recently spent five nights at this hotel. We are a mature couple - our room was on the second floor ( 39 steps ) - no lift. We paid extra for air-con - definitely needed it !
Decor extremely 'tired' and left much to be desired. Bathroom and toilet were separate, neither had a window or extractor fan. Breakfast over-priced for what we got, only took breakfast once as a result. No facilities for other meals or drinks at hotel.
The only good thing was that the hotel was very clean.
Definitely would not recommend hotel - niether would we stay there again.
Not value for money !!

We had a lovely short break at this hotel in May of this year. The hotel is a short walk to the centre of Bergerac. Our twin room was very good value and the extra 7euros each for breakfast was 7euros well spent. There is no bar as such, but chilled bottles of lovely french beer, soft drinks and coffee( nearly always good in France ) are available in the lobby area. There is a pool in a pleasant looking garden at the rear of the hotel, which looked very nice, but we didn't have time to use it during our short stay. There is also a large off road car park available at a cost of 3.50euros per night.
Our room had an en suite bath and shower but, curiously, no shower curtain! Can't think why. Some of the plumbing, especially in the loos off the lobby area is quaintly prehistoric, but to be fair it does all work!
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and they all seemed to understand my pathetic attempts to communicate.
Bergerac seems to get a fairly modest write up in most of the travel guides, but we loved it. The ancient quarter is a delight. The surrounding villages and vineyards are worth exploring and, most importantly, Bergerac has a nice big LeClerc supermarket--what more could one ask?
