My two friends and I stayed here for one night, and were very happy with the hotel overall. The only negative was that the room was a little small, but we spent most of our time outside of the hotel room, and didn't feel that this was such a big problem considering the cost. The staff is very friendly and... More

Stayed here for a night and was a lovely room. Quiet and great location. A few steps to the sea front and only a minutes walk to the main shopping road. Very clean room, bathroom and friendly staff. Wifi is a tad annoying as you can only access at 15 minutes at a time, but apart from that, no complaints!

Very clean, nice breakfast and the location could not not have been better, especially considering the price. It's hard to figure out who's who on the staff, but everything was handled well. I do think we could have parked for free, but it was not mentioned to us.

A great little family run hotel, B+B. Breakfast was delicious with fresh croissant delivered every morning and still warm if your an early riser. Centrally located in the heart of town and steps away from the beach, restaurants, clubs and great bars.. The best place to stay in town for the price. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and Quiet rooms.... More

-I stayed at this charming hotel in October 2014. It is economical, central to the beaches, and the pergola area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the decor is very basque. An ideal setting, overlooking the beach, with quick access to the best restaurants in St Jean de Luz.

What are you looking for? A good bed , great location, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to all the "action" and 100 meters from the beach, The bed was fine and dandy, but I didn;t have breakfast so I can;t comment on that, Rate was very reasonable,,, If you are looking for room service, an in-hotel restaurant or a... We booked St Jean late and there were very few hotels left with parking nearby. Nevertheless, we were pleased with the location and the room though small, was well lit with large windows that you can open for fresh air. It was hot while we were in town...but the room never seemed uncomfortable. The price was very good given the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in a double room at this hotel and it's a perfectly adequate accommodation. We visited during low season but I think the location of the hotel is excellent for the summer as it is a block from the beach. It's also just a three minutes' walk from Rue Gambetta, the town's main shopping street. However,... More

Writing this from the hotel, and we recommend it. Good location, close to everything and the rooms are really clean. We don't know about the breakfast since we decided not to take it. The reception is friendly.

Hotel Magenta presented itself as a clean, tidy, well organised small hotel with the advantage of being super close to the beach...and outside of the peak French holiday periods..there will be plenty of room on the beach and a great alternative to Biarritz. Breakfast was available in the lounge room on the ground floor or alternatively guests could sit outside.... More
