Booked really last minute as my husband was rushed to the hospital in Brest. The hotel Proprietor and his wife could not have been more charming, helpful, caring and accommodating. As I had no idea on how long I needed to stay they were very flexible on check out and every morning at breakfast enquired how my husband was. They also gave great info on where to eat and park in the town. The hotel itself is charming and quirky with each room a little different to the next showcasing some amazing old (in a good way!) typically French furniture - quite a contrast to the stark, bland newer hotels. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Parking is adjacent to the hotel so safe and secure. The Logis itself is in a quiet street so a great night sleep every night. Continental breakfast available which we had every morning. The garden outback is charming and very pleasant to sit in. The only negative that I feel I should mention is that there is no lift, which may be a problem for some. We would return to see more of Brest other than the hospital! Would definitely stay at the Hotel de la Corniche and recommend to everyone.

Everything was great at the hotel but location was very quiet. The staff were very pleasant and service was good. Evening meal was superb, excellent, breakfast was fine. Lovely hotel to stay at. Good free safe parking Had to go to the next village to find a place to have lunch, nothing available in the village.

Hotel de la Corniche has been recommended to us by our family. They were right. This place is very nice, very quiet and friendly. Not a huge staff but the owners are almost always there. They are very friendly and are willing you have the best stay as possible. Rooms are nice, large enough. Furniture is a little bit out of fashion but it brings its own charm to the place. Bedding is good while the the pillows could be better. Bathrooms are not on the high end but they offer all what you really need. They are clean, modern and there is a lot of light thanks to a window. Breakfast is good. Local products for sure. But, this is my personal feeling, it could be better. More choice with eggs and ham could be a plus. They are available on request but it could be simpler to offer them on a regular basis. The hotel is not at walking distance from restaurants or downtown, so a car is mandatory. So, a very nice hotel, simple and friendly. As a summary, a high value for money. Highly recommended as such.

Thank you for your nice comment. Simply point out: It is possible to have eggs, ham or cheese, a salty breakfast. You just have to ask. They will serve you. We do not put it on the buffet because the demand is low; Causing enormous losses.

Only stayed at the hotel for two nights whilst exploring the west coast of Brest; for this purpose it was very well located. The hotel is not in walking distance of any restaurants therefore a car is essential to enable a drive into the centre of Brest for an evening meal. We asked to eat at the hotel but were told this was not possible during our stay. The hotel is furnished nicely in an older french style. It is an interesting building and was possibly a convent in its day? Our room was well equipped and had en-suite. The lady owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, however the gentleman owner was very frosty - on the day we were leaving he did not bid us any farewell, took payment and kept his eyes down, which was impolite.

Thank you for your comment. We are sorry for your welcome during the departure. I think that it was about a voluntary behavior but about a big worry arisen there at the same moment because he is not in the habit of this person. We are sorry about it and we ask you to excuse us for it.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The owners were attentive and welcoming, and with our limited knowledge of the French language, they made life easier, as they spoke English. There was a wide choice for breakfast - cereals, and a good choice of continental items fruit, bread, cakes etc., We had an evening meal at the hotel on four occasions, and whist there was not a choice of menu, each meal was of good quality, and well presented. Evening meals were not available from Friday to Monday each week. Cleanliness and service were of a very good standard.
