Detailed Reviews
We arrived on a Friday afternoon, they give themselves a big review about their cooking but as we had been out to a large lunch, we asked if it were possible to have a light dinner. It was agreed reluctantly and a reasonable omelette was provided. we said that we would like to eat there on the following evening, but at breakfast the next morning they told us that we couldn't because they were full. After some discussion they decided that perhaps they could squeeze us in (there were only 14 others booked). The meal was adequate but took an absolute age ( well over 2 hours) even though the starters and desserts had all been prepared in advance. They then told us that they did not cook on Sundays even though the guide book said they did as did their board outside. Sunday afternoon they knocked on our door and said that as another couple wanted to eat there that evening they would cook but we said no as we had to make other attangements and had eaten at lunchtime.
Altogether we couldn't leave the place soon enough, the whole family who ran it were miserable, un-helpful and un-welcoming. if you are in that area try to find somewhere else to stay.
