We enjoyed our night's stay at the Grassinais and also enjoyed my birthday dinner complete with a bottle of Louis Roderer. The next day we left for our next destination some 3 hours away. On arrival at said destination I discovered I had left some rather expensive jewelry at the Grassinais. We called them and the lady was very nice... More

We stayed just one night before catching a ferry in the morning. Hadn't realised it was just off a roundabout in a rather commercial area but for what we needed that didn't matter. We chose it because of the good reports of the restaurant which was pretty full on a Thursday night so we were glad we had booked. It... More

Stayed just the one night; unfortunately on a Monday when no restaurant was open (as on Sunday). Menu looked good but pricey. Room very average and not worth the money. Receptionist was friendly; no other staff seen. Would have been better off booking a budget place closer to amenities.

We stay here every year, on our last night before taking the ferry back home. It is ideally situated so that we can buy our fresh food before driving to the port. There are also a fair amount of shops in the area for any last minute buys. In addition, the restaurant is superb. We reserve a table when making... More

As a place to sleep only 5 Km from the Ferry port to England it fulfilled its purpose. Helpful receptionist, good breakfast, attractive old buildings. Easy to get to by car. But the restaurant shuts on Sunday even on July 7th, and it's too far to walk into St Malo which is a shame as St Malo is one of... More

Read the reviews , so knew this hotel was in the middle of the hypermarket area of St Malo. .However, this liitle French hotel turned out to be lovely. Stylish decor , lovely and warm (minus 2 outside) , very comfy beds, good shower , free parking, UK channels on TV. Didn't have breakfast the first morning , thought it... More

Visited St Malo for the weekend with my son & wife & stayed at La Grassinais on demi pension basis. The Menuo of the day was good but no choice, upgarded to the Grastronomic menu for second meal ( Chefs menu). No choice other than meat or fish for the main course, however the food overall was very good & staff... More

We decided to spend our last day/night close to the port ready for our early departure. We couldn't have picked a better holiday or place. Although on a retail park, it is tucked away and quiet. The rooms are perfectly adequate, very clean, comfortable bed and shower and bath. Breakfast cover almost all options, even the opportunity to boil our... More

We had a very nice stay here in early May. Despite proximity to freeway, the rooms and public areas are very quiet. Fantastic breakfast

La Grassinais is located in a retail park but once you enter the gates into the hotel grounds you discover a calm atmosphere. The hotel is dog friendly, important to us. Friendly reception, good sized room and bathroom. One of the best TVs I've ever seen in a hotel room with a good selection of French and British TV. We... More

“Whilst this is not a luxurious hotel, all the rooms are well insulated from traffic noise (and the hotel is close by busy roads). But, it is exceptionally clean, and quite comfortable. Windows are fitted with safety catches, and TV etc. is supplied. The bathrooms are small, but well enough appointed. They welcome dogs and obviously young children as there are cots available. It is exceptionally convenient for the ferry port. There is ample parking.”
