We enjoyed our weekend at Hotel Cartier. The staff were all really lovely and so helpful. The hotel is very clean but the rooms are looking a bit dated- they need a new carpet and a fresh coat of paint in the bathroom. The pillows in the bed were not up to standard of a hotel-they were lumpy and need...

This would have to be one of my new favourite places and this hotel was good value, comfortable, had a good breakfast and had friendly staff who were very helpful. It was winter obviously but we were lucky to get a fine day snd walked the wall. Restaurants are very close and so is shopping. Highly recommended

After my ferry to Jersey was cancelled I had to find a place to stay for the night in St Malo before sailing home the next day. Hotel Cartier was both central and reasonably priced so I booked a room and was very glad that I did. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and extremely helpful. I had a...

This hotel occupies a wedge-shaped building which is like a miniature version of the Flat Iron Building in NYC. We were lucky enough to have a room in the apex of the triangle - a triple aspect room, you might say - with views of the bustling confluence of the Rue St-Vincent, Rue Ste-Barbe and the Place de la Croix...

Over the years I have stayed in SO many hotels all over France. However, Hotel Cartier wins hands down... The service is always of the highest standard, they are friendly, welcoming, and nothing is ever too much trouble... lovely comfortable rooms and delicious buffet breakfast all within the comfort of intro muros. Have recently stayed there every time I go...

Very nice. Comfortable, clean room with wifi. Great view out of windows of the inner city of St Malo. Clean and modern bathroom. TV. No bar fridge. Very comfortable bed. Very helpful concierge. If I had one tiny criticism I would have preferred a glass glass instead of a plastic one but other than that it was super and well...

We only stayed one night on our return from southern Brittany and we only stayed because our chosen hotel was full. Can't even remember the name of that place - no need to. We will stay here. Again and again. The lovely chap on reception helped us lots from the moment we arrived, recommended places to eat, chatted to our...

Located within the walls and around 15 minutes walk from the Ferry Terminal this hotel is an ideal base when visiting St Malo. We have just returned from another visit to this hotel. As always everything was perfect from the minute we arrived at the hotel. We arrived early morning following the overnight crossing from Portsmouth with Brittany Ferries. Our...

Excellent location in centre of shops and restaurants but difficult for parking if driving a car. Great walks around the wall of the city provide wonderful views. Reasonable breakfast but not cooked. Reasonably clean except for some mouldy tile grout and only provide paper cups in rooms for tea and coffee. Efficient staff.

This is a lovely little hotel in the centre of st malo. The guy on reception is such a lovely person and will do anything he can to help you. Ideally situated for all st malo has to offer. Breakfast was great.
