Very nice place. Room 11 has a door to the street as well and looks to be newly remodeled. We loved it! Generous breakfast with boiled eggs and sliced ham. The owners / operators spoke English and were very helpful. The hotel is centrally located and within a walk of a plaza. It was quiet at night and the breakfast...

We have stayed here many times during visits to Beaune. We like the thick stone feel, the unpretentious presentation, the quiet, no nonsense treatment, the easy access to centre ville, and the kind staff, who run the hotel as a family business, love their place, work hard, but nevertheless give the impression that they know how to live well.

Very French. Good staff. Very helpful, fully conversant in English (my primary language). Also quite helpful in local restaurant suggestions. If you know something about French wine it helps in the conversation. At least at this hotel they like know not only that you like the wine, but what appellation(s) that it is like and why you like it. It...

This was a pleasant surprise on our European tour. Great location & very welcoming. Common courtyard area was very cute but we couldn't use it due to weather. Room was clean & comfortable. WiFi only consistent in lobby/breakfast area. Breakfast was good.

I stayed at the Hotel Des Remparts for three nights while on a Rick Steves tour. I had the Montrachet room which was located on the third floor (second floor in France). The stairs to the room started as stone and then turned to wooden as I wound my way upstairs. The room was quite large, clean, and had lots...

Went here for a quality dinner on recommendation of hotel. Set menu of 65 euro each + 40 for bottle of wine + supplements for starters totalled 193 euros. Nouvelle cuisine with a vengeance! Starter for wife "Dublin Bay prawns" = 2 neither hot nor cols and tasteless. Mine was white asparagus = 2 on the plate. Main course for...

Stayed here for one night but wanted to stay longer once I found out how fab it was. Room very comfortable with a large bathroom with powerful shower. Breakfast served to table, it was plentiful and tasty. A real family atmosphere here. Everybody friendly and helpful. Excellent location . Parking was a little tricky but managed in a street at...

My wife and I used Hotel Des Remparts as the mid-point stop in a week's walking trip in Burgundy. This old style hotel, built into the old city walls, oozes character. Facilities were basic though adequate for our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast set us up well for the next leg of our walk....

Excellent location (one of the few hotels actually in the old part of the city), and a relatively affordable stay. The room was large, clean, quiet, and the AC worked well. Plus there is nice garden/courtyard type area for an afternoon glass of wine. All in all, this hotel exceeded my expectations and I recommend it.

The hotel is a few blocks from restaurants and shops, parking and the train station, but this makes for a quiet location. The hotel’s interior courtyard has several chairs and tables, making it an excellent place to relax. The hotel offers limited bar service at reasonable prices, but you would need to provide your own snacks. The hotel does provide...
