I cannot day enough about the amazing staff at Bernard Loiseau. They made us feel welcome right from the moment we stepped in the hotel until we packed up to go. The hotel was elegant but not fussy, so it made for a comfortable, welcoming feel. This gem in the small town of Saulieu is one that is worth going...

We flew from the USA and rented a car and drove straight here to start a week in the French wine regions of Burgundy and Rhone. This was a fantastic way to acclimate in a high service and high cuisine manner.

What an excellent Relais Chateau property this is. We booked a reservation for a one night stay with breakfast, degustation dinner and a cooking lesson. What fun. Our reception was delightful. We enjoyed an upgrade to a large suite room, #58, with a sitting area, big bedroom, and a killer bathroom (step down tub with full outdoor view of our...

I had one of the cheap rooms, at the end of the hallway on the second floor (room 1) I had no wifi signal in the room, unless I was going to stand in front of my door in the vestibule of my room. The structure of this buisding is very old, walls are very thick. In the common spaces...

Charm, beauty, luxury , nature are the words I would use to describe this hotel . The exploration of this multitude of small lounges , corners with gorgeous furniture , beautiful paintings never stops . The exterior staircase that surrounds the elevator is of great beauty and allows you to discover the garden of this beautiful location . The rooms...

We had a fantastic stay at Le Relaid Bernard Loiseau. I particularly recommend the "menu degustation". The mix of flavors and textures is truly exceptional. The hotel room was comfortable, and spacious in true Burgundian style. Last but not least service was very friendly.

We spent one week-end in Saulieu and stayed in that mythical place... but, what a disappointment ! The hôtel is great, facilites are very nice, decoration remains classical and not very stylich, but this is to be expected in such a place. The real choc came with the dinner! Insignificant plates, very old-fashioned styling of the dishes and very very...

Hard to fault this place, particularly when you know the history and legacy of the hotel and restaurant. The building looks a little out of place and nostalgic of older times, but with loads and loads of character. I visited with my fiancée as the last stop of our 2-week France road trip, located neatly between Cannes and Calais. Upon...

The hotel was very nice but nothing out of the ordinary. The room was huge, lots of storage, well appointed bathroom, but everything was a bit stuffy and didn't impress me as overly tastefully decorated. We stayed on a Monday, on a 495-euro special including the stay, dinner, breakfast, and a cooking demonstration. Actually, the cooking demonstration was the best...

This is a very attractive hotel/spa/restaurant in Burgundy. The rooms are what you'd expect of a luxury establishment and well maintained. The service is friendly and excellent. They have a great collection of Burgundy wines. Unfortunatelyl, the food is a big disappointment. The meal we had as part of a package deal was hardly that of a 3* Michelin establishment...
