We have just had 6 nights in this lovely traditional hotel. The room was adequate for our needs, had an excellent shower (most showers have poor water pressure) it was 2 single beds joined together, which made for excellent nights sleep. Room serviced every day. There was a bit of noise from the odd door slamming on the landing and...

Stayed at the hotel for a weekend - superior room . Very nice large room good bathroom and excellent shower. Staff very pleasant . Breakfast room nice breakfast good - Everything you like for breakfast . My only criticism was - why have such a pleasant hotel but use paper cups in the annexe for tea and coffee. But that...

This is a first class hotel in every respect and I would thoroughly recommend it to visitors to Chinon. It is very conveniently situated near all the town's attractions, e.g.restaurants, bars, the chateau are all within walking distance and you can park your car safely for free in the main square opposite (though not on Wednesday evenings because there is...

Our second time in Chinon and unlike Sammyep, we DID NOT find it boring. We brought new friends with us this time and loved our rooms in the annex on the main floor. We had a Knight outside our room. The breakfasts were fabulous. Our room was huge, very clean with a very modern and clean bathroom, We were right...

Budget friendly hotel, convenient to the Chateau of Chinon. Hotel is just a few hundred feet from the river and a plethora of local eateries and shops. Two nice ladies greeted us upon our arrival and escorted us to the hotel's courtyard. There were plenty of bike racks, and by plenty, I mean they can probably hold 40 to 50....

We were booked into this hotel on a bike tour, and they are well set-up for the many bike tourists who come, with a bike parking area in the garden courtyard. It's a convenient location, just outside the main commercial area and near the river. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. It's an older establishment, with lots...

convenient hotel for a rather boring town where on a Monday most restaurants were closed. The room 38 was so filthy even the bugs in the corner of the rooms were covered in dust!!! Quite scared to go under the sheets, at least when the power went out for 20minutes they did turn it back on.......

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family in August 2015. It is not the newest hotel in the world, but has what could be called "old French charm". The staff were very friendly, and the location of this small hotel with lots of parking outside (on the main square) made it very convenient. The price was also very...

A very nice old-fashioned hotel. Our room looked over the hotel garden and up to the fortress. We kept the windows open all night. Loved the verbena soap. One afternoon we bought sandwiches and orangina and had a picnic in the garden. Parking is free, either on the street or in the big lot nearby (except on Wednesday nights because...

Convenient location, our room was in the attic of the extension, lot of rickety feeling stairs to climb but plenty of character in the room with old beams and antique furniture. Large bathroom with a modern shower and multiple jets. Room was a bit noisy with strange repetitive sound which was irritating at night. Breakfast was very good. Had two...
